- Q: I would like to get some advice from Martial artists of the training that Crane style Kung Fu go trough especially the balance. I would like to learn how they learn to balance without difficulty and the training they go trough.
- I don't train in Crane style Kung Fu but I can give you some balance training tips. 1. Stand on one leg whenever possible (doing the dishes, waiting in line, etc.) 2. Walk on a Balance Beam (a wall, a line on the floor, a large long block, etc. can all be used as a balance beam), just walk heel to toe and work on staying balanced. When walking becomes too easy try practicing kicks on the beam, then spinning kicks, then jumping kicks (NOTE: if your balance beam is off the floor make sure you have a spotter when you do any jumping or spinning) 3. Practice, practice, practice Ask your instructor for more exersizes internet videos can be good but are unreliable and dangerous in the hands of people who don't know what they are doing.

- Without the breaking bones part, and unless weapons are involved the main ways a street fight would differ from MMA is eye gouges throat strikes and groin kicks, most martial arts have that anyway its just not something that can realisticaly be practice, what can be practiced and tested are punching and kicks and so far there has not been many wing chung students who have demonstrated that their punching and kicking style is better than Muay Thai for example, so since its too dangerous to test poking another guys eye out... MMA is where martial arts are put to the test Oh and i have seen some Wing Chung guys fight in MMA, as soon as they get in the ring they switch to what looks like a kickboxing style, real fighting is alot dirtyer than practice

- Q: hi, i was just looking for a guide to change a full stock to a crane stock on an m4, (its wired to the back)i dont actually have the gun yet im buying it from a freind, so i havnt had a chance to look at it but the the gg gr16-r4i was wondering if its just a m4 with a stock that is wired to the back, how there is the two long screws that run from the back of the buffer tube to the body, then you just switch it out for a crane stock...anyway anything would be great, thanks
- you need a crane stock and a buffer tube for it. the full stock does not use a buffer tube. you simply guide the wires through the buffer tube (once you attach it to the back) and into the stock. then just pu the stock on and put the batteries in and viola! crane stock!

- Sure. Let's say that a crane needs to hoist a load of 10 tons, and that because it needs to reach over some obstacles, needs to lift at a horizontal distance of 50 feet away. That creates a torque about the base of the crane of 500 ton·ft. By positioning a counterweight on the opposite side of the tower, the magnitude of the moment can be mitigated. For instance, let's say a counterweight of 10 tons is positioned at 25 ft on the other side of the tower. The moment produced by the counterweight is 250 ton·ft, so the net moment at the base is 250 ton·ft. Furthermore, when the 10 ton load is positioned and release, there is still a 250 ton·ft moment at the base of the tower; it has simply switched direction (say from rotating the crane to the right, to rotating it to the left). - All maximum. On some of the older cranes it's written on a plate: so many tonnes at so much radius etc. In the really good old days a pointer needle was on the side of the jib pointing to a scale in tonnes, variable as the jib went in/out/up/down. If you think about it, there's no other way to rate a crane apart from its maximum performance. Hope this helps.
