Main Features of Tower Crane
1) This series of tower cranes, ranging from QTZ40 to QTZ400 has a horizontal jib frame, a jib-trolley radius-changing mechanism and a hydraulic self-raising mechanism. It is original in design, reliable in operation and satisfactory in shape. Equipped with all necessary safety devices, these cranes show a good speed-control capacity, satisfactory operating stability and high work efficiency. They can be widely used for the construction of high-rise hotels, residential buildings, high-rise industrial buildings, large-span factory buildings and tower-like buildings like tall chimneys.
2) It has high working speed, good speed-adjusting performance, steady operation and high efficiency. Three-speed motor and mono-speed ratio decelerator are applied in the lifting struction, which enables heavy load low speed and light load high speed. 3)The range-change structure drives the trolley moving on the horizontal crang jib, with good positioning performance. Planet gear decelerator is applied in the circumgyrating structure, together with moment-limiting hydraulic coupler, which can relize high load capacity, steady starting and reliable operation.

- I went down that path last year in the SF Bay Area in California. I could not find a store that carried any cranes or jibs - so I just started asking around. Stay away from any that use cables to keep the stage steady - we used one at a shoot - setting up is an interesting challenge. I thought I wanted the same unit you are looking at - and decided I needed to trust the crane a bit more with my HDR-FX1... I had to wait longer to save more $, but I really like the crane and tripod kit I ended up with... from Kessler Crane... I never got to see it before I bought it and I was, um... nervous... but I am glad I made the investment - and Eric Kessler is REALLY helpful and great to work with. One of the other cranes I looked at uses a heavy duty PA speaker stand as its tripod base. After watching light trees and PA speakers fall over because of leg failure, I could not bring myself to trust them to hold my camcorder. I can STAND or JUMP on the Kessler tripod and it does not budge. It is rock-steady and really strong. The Hercules head is silk-smooth and the crane-arm and camera stage are steady and easy to manipulate. After a little practice, it now takes me about 10-15 minutes from the time I start unpacking until I am ready to start shooting. That includes mounting the camcorder, setting the counterweights, mounting a portable DVD player with AV-in as the monitor mounted to the tripod-head so I can see what the camcorder is shooting and running the AV, headphone and LANC cables and making the whole thing pretty with velcro strips.

- OK, first, what kind of crane? there are many different kinds that do many different things. From loading containers at the seaport to high rise buildings. One does not just go into cranes. The more experienced ones, started out as oilers or greasers. Some started out as signal persons. They learned by watching and listening. In the following states you must hold National certification: CA, HA,MT,OR,WA,MN,WV,NM,RI,NJ,NV,NY UT. PA and SC have restrictions now but will be added sometime soon. You can attend a crane school that prepares you for the national certification, but it expensive and not easy for someone without a background working around cranes. There is a lot of terminology and mathematics involved. Not to mention the Federal, state, local and OSHA rules you must practice. Go to your state employment office. They have all the information you need. get to know one of the counselors and pursue your dream. It is not as easy as it seems. But is it a well paying career. Good luck Bill

- It is freezing cold in the upper Midwest during the winter. Whooping cranes simply cannot find any food, even if they can endure the cold. During the summer, the upper Midwest has longer daylight hours and slightly cooler temperatures. than their wintering grounds in Florida. The longer hours allow them and their young more time to gather food. Reproduction is very taxing on the female body, even if it is just laying eggs. The young need the extra time and nutrition to grow quickly into adult sized birds. Small birds are more vulnerable to predators.
- Q:Trying to find an estimated weight for a mobiles crane with a 5 tonne capacity ?
- It is not the weight of the crane alone that matters. But to some extend if the crane is light, this could create a torque when carrying a heavy load and the crane could collapse. Therefore I am speculating that inorder to lift 5Tonnes, the crane must be more than 5 tonnes to balance out the moments resulting in a torque The internal structure of bolts and trusses must be able to handle heavy loads and their are several calculations done to find each forces acting on the members of a truss. - build a basic crane out of your materials and thread the string to the magnet hold it on with tape secure opposite end of the string to the plunger on one syringe. and fix this syringe(syringe 1) to the frame of the crane. position the plungers of both syringes at mid point, and fill both with water, and fill your tubing with water. connect the needle ends of both syringes together with the tubing. pushing the plunger on syringe 2 will cause the plunger in syringe 1 to move out. pulling the plunger on syringe 2 will cause the plunger on syringe 1 to retract and can be used to lift the paperclip.
