- Those stones are small compared to what cranes can lift. I did find this Liebherr the heavy equipment company have developed a new all terrain nine axle mobile crane that is the worlds most powerful. The Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,200 tons with its powerful 100 metre (328 ft) telescopic boom. another: Deira City Centre was the crane’s first lift as it assisted in completing the work in less than 30 hours in what would have otherwise taken an approximate 20 days. The monster machine can lift up to 1,200 tonnes and cover an area over 100m wide. The operational weight is 96 tonnes and the total counterweight is 202 tonnes. Average weight of the stones in the Great pyramid is 2.5 tonnes. So either of those cranes could lift over 400 of these at once.

- You probably meant a truck-mounted crane. There are industries offering ready-made solutions that work. Have you ever designed a truck or a crane before? It's a challenging engineering task and it can't be improvised. Besides, whatever you design and build will have to undergo extensive testing before being authorized to operate on public roads. The solution would cost more than anyone would care to pay for it. Consider buying a used rig instead.

- Sure. Let's say that a crane needs to hoist a load of 10 tons, and that because it needs to reach over some obstacles, needs to lift at a horizontal distance of 50 feet away. That creates a torque about the base of the crane of 500 ton·ft. By positioning a counterweight on the opposite side of the tower, the magnitude of the moment can be mitigated. For instance, let's say a counterweight of 10 tons is positioned at 25 ft on the other side of the tower. The moment produced by the counterweight is 250 ton·ft, so the net moment at the base is 250 ton·ft. Furthermore, when the 10 ton load is positioned and release, there is still a 250 ton·ft moment at the base of the tower; it has simply switched direction (say from rotating the crane to the right, to rotating it to the left).
