Q:How do cranes get put together?
They're just born that way! lol, just kidding!
Q:These cranes always stay higher than the construction process but I have never seen how they are extended to stay above all of it. They come in two formats, free standing and those attached to the building. The possibilities that I thought of was that maybe they use another crane to lift the housing and the horisontal arm to put in more modules into the vertical part; or that they extend it by some way by putting modules in at the top or bottom and that the crane has some self-lifting mechanism to accommodate the insertion of more modules. However, I have never seen this being done, nor does the construction of these cranes point to its ability to do so. The only other possibility that I could think of was that the crane is set up at the outset to be higher than the completed height of the building, hence there is no need to extend it but this does not explain how they do it for very high buildings where the crane is attached to the building and seems to grow higher with the building.
Ever heard of Superman?
Q:What do lattice boom and hydraulic boom in cranes mean?
LATTICE BOOM: See first link. This is where the boom (the portion used to support the load) is made like a lattice ... i.e. interconnected trusses and girders. The cables for lifting the load are run from the base of the boom to the load over pulleys/gears located at the boom's tip. The boom itself is NOT adjustable in length or in angle. HYDRAULIC BOOM: See second link. This crane uses hydraulics to adjust either the length of the boom, or the angle at which the boom joints intersect. It looks more like a single beam construction, although its probably closer to a tube type design (hydraulics may be inside or outside the arm). The load is raised/lowered by cables operating at the end of the boom ... not necessarily tied back to the bottom of the boom.
Q:What are the special operators of tower cranes?
The tower has special operations personnel of heavy machinery refers to the construction site in the tower crane division signal cable, installation and disassembly, the driver, and the demolition work of gondola installation, may cause serious harm to themselves, others and the surrounding facilities operations personnel.
Q:Something confuses me in dragon ball:When roshi has a flash back, he says crane didn't turn evil until after mutaito fails to kill piccolo, but in the filer where goku goes back in time, crane is an asshole before picolo and roshi referred to him as a friend before the piccolo incident. Also, why in the piccolo flash back are roshi and crane bald but in the filler do they have hair and glasses? Also, why in the filler does crane have a different outfit in the filler than the other students but in the piccolo flash back he has the same outfit as roshi?
The idea is that Crane Hermit is a selfish man that would do anything to get what he wants. In the past, Master Mutaito was there to ram some discipline in his head and have him under control. Following the events of his death and the defeat of King Piccolo, nothing could really stop him from being a selfish jerk again. Roshi probably didn't mention Crane being bad before King Piccolo's arrival because he wasn't really evil before it either. He was selfish and greedy, but not outright despicable as later... at least not that much. Roshi seeing Crane as a friend might imply that Crane had some redeeming qualities during his years as Roshi's rival under Mutaito's guidance. About their baldness, I think they shaved their heads after a while due to how monks and some martial artists tend to shave their heads. That or it's a plot hole due/filler error. It's again either a plot hole/filler error or they just switched outfits once they reached a certain level of their training, just like how you gain a different color of band as you progress in Judo and Karate.
Q:Has anyone ever folded 1000 paper cranes? If so did your wish come true? If it did come true what did you wish for? :) Thanks so much!
Yes i have. For a college friends wedding. The groom makes at least one crane. She was from Hawaii and it's one of the Philippine traditions. There's a story that goes along with it. In Hi there are companies that will take the flat cranes and form them into another design. like a vase or something that can be framed. I think her wish was just to get them finished within 1 week before the wedding... ;) We DID! That was luck in itself. not sure if her real wish came true.
Q:We need to purchase spare parts. If there are any supplier in the ASEAN region as possible. We are in urgent need . We are from Viet NamThank you.Email : tuanhuynh62@yahoo,com
they claim to have what you need. Good luck, I bet it's near impossable to get parts over there. You have a lot of work?
Q:I've been making lots of paper cranes lately, thinking I would know exactly what to do with them. In reality, I'm a bit short on ideas... Can you help me with this, because I'd love to find ways to decorate my room with them. I can't really use nails on my walls or ceiling, so I can't do a mobile or randomly string them about.
Okay - so if you can't string them from the ceiling - than what I would do is buy some round vases/globes, from Pier one or some place like that, and fill them with paper cranes, then set the bowls on your shelves/windowsill/desk/table or other flat surface. I've enclosed some examples below. You can also make a mobile by hanging something like a super strength hook with adhesive. 3M makes them (the same folks who created scotch tape). The adhesive does not damage walls and you can stick them to anything. They can bear up to 30 pounds of weight. Put a few on your ceiling or walls and hang your mobiles from them.
Q:All these birds are bigger than wild turkey and can fly long distances.
Not answerable as you do not indicate in what area you are considering, weight, wingspan, height? Even in weight it is controversial. The mute swan and Andean Condor weigh in at around 30 pounds. In height it would be the Crane. And wingspan would be the Albatross.
Q:How come you never see cranes being transported from one site to another?
They are, the big pieces are moved at times of very low traffic. The huge cranes that build skyscrapers are made up of many small pieces, and the main tower is actually part of the building, not the crane.
