Q: What is Queen platform bed? What are the types of it?
Rather than a foundation or box springs, in a platform bed the mattress rests on a plain board (or platform). They come in all sizes. Although some people use any kind of mattress on a platform bed, you should get one specifically made to be used without a foundation or the mattress may wearout quickly. I have one with a Serta/Vera Wang pillow-top foam mattress. Advantages: solid, doesn't squeak groan rattle, doesn't jiggle across the floor, the neighbors don't hear as much and it's closer to the floor so when we fall out we don't hurt ourselves. Advantages of a foam mattress over old-style spring mattress: impenetrable to dustmites bedbugs.
Q: How to choose a good bed and sofa?
The mattress is the key effect of sleep, must buy a little. If the waist fine, buy soft. The mat is not recommended. My relatives and friends, I buy a mat from them. I don't work for years in the mattress factory, mat just a selling point, but all are glued together the not very environmentally friendlyIt's better to use a spring mattress. You can choose different soft hardness according to your own needs
Q: Iron bed, not bed board, home has a bed board, just want to buy an iron bed frame
Iron bed, not bed board, according to the iron bed materials used and flower type of simple and complex to set
Q: Hey, I've been shopping for a new bed and a lot of the nice ones I'm finding are very low down, is this a trendy thing or do people just think shorter beds look nicer? Thanks
I've just bought a new bed and yes, it is low and now I'm sitting in bed only a few feet off the ground. I'm guessing they're trendy, kind of Japanese influence, but they look great in situ as they aren't the focus of attention in your bedroom. If you want a higher bed go for the traditional divan, but I'm v happy with my low slung bed.
Q: We're looking at beds for our kids and wondering whats better for their back, either a bed with a box spring, or one with just a wood base (finding captains beds, bunk beds, and some low beds, just have a wood platform for under the mattress) and worried if this isnt good for them.
We have captains beds with the storage underneath and that is great since there was a firm base for the mattresses to lay on. I also like the look of mattress with boxsprings, you can do a dust ruffle and keep storage boxes under the bed. I stub my toes on the captains beds and swear I will never buy another one again. My husband and I have a platform bed and I hate it, you can't store anything under it because you can't put a dust ruffle/bedskirt on it. I think all the varieties of beds you mention offer firm support, but you have to decide if storage under the bed matters to you. The drawers of the captians beds are good but moving the bed is next to impossible - they are heavy. God forbid you want to rearrange the kids room, you'll need 4 people to move that bed. The last bed we bought was a twin sleigh bed with a firm mattress/box springs combo. It's easy to make, it accomodates a bedskirt so we have underbed storage options, and so far it's the best kids bed we own. Looks good, my son sleeps well, and we can store things in those Rubbermaid under bed containers. Best of luck to you.
Q: How long is the bed in the bedroom, including the bedside table?. How wide. Outline dimensions of the bed
General bedroom double bed for 1.5 meters, 1.8 meters, 2 meters, refers to the width of the mattress, does not include the bedside (bedstead next to the bedside), excluding the bedside table. Single beds are 0.8, 0.9, 1, 1.2, and 1.35 meters, also mean mattress width.
Q: do you always make your bed
My bedroom is the busiest room in the house. Like the kitchen, it is small cramped, but very efficiently furnished laid out. It serves many purposes: A bedroom A computer room A library A study/office. I don't always make it (my bed) but I do neaten it up slightly so that it's more inviting at sleep time...
Q: what's the difference between a high pressure bed and a low pressure bed?
High pressure beds are stronger and will get you tanner faster.
Q: My son hates his crib! He is 20 months old and has always slept in his crib NEVER slept in me and my husbands bed ONCE. But latly at my mothers , its a low crib , he climbs out and sleeps in the guest bed right next to it...and my mom will find him there in the morning. Well now he hates his crib here! But it is too big and tall for him to climb out and just screams and cries. I lay him in our bed with us and complete slience....he only whines a little if i leave the room. The only thing i am worried about if i switch him to a toddler bed is him getting up in the middle of the night and opening doors and getting into things....he isnt that good at opening doors but has done it before. Anyone have any advice ?
i'd switch to toddler bed try to refrain from letting him sleep with you.and i'd get sum kinda gate for his room if you believe he's going to be a lil explorer.some cribs pull out to toddler beds to make the transition easier.
Q: i have a twin xl bed.. does anyone know where to get really cute bedding for it ..? like for teenagers, like zebra or something.
Target has really cute bedding for a twin xl along with bed bath and beyond and sometimes even walmart!!!
