- Q: I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and recently the automatic locking mechanism on one of my back doors stopped working. When I press my lock/unlock button, you can clearly hear the "clicking" noise on the inside of the door panel but the actual button does not move automatically anymore. It really didn't bother me until the same thing happened to my front passenger door. You can hear the mechanism "click" when you try to lock and unlock but the button does not move automatically anymore. Since I hear the mechanism working on the inside of the door panel, is this a mechanical problem where something came off inside the door panel and can be reattached? Or is this an electrical problem where there's a disconnect in the circuit? More importantly, from a monetary standpoint, is this something that I can fix at home by myself? If so, how would I go about fixing it? Thanks.
- While u operate the lock and u hear the clicking sound it means the solinoid is working , the rod from the solonoid and the lock might have come off for this remove the door panel and refit the rod hope it works.
- Q: Sometimes when I walk though automatic doors like at a supermarket they jam up. Fot a while it happened every time, its very annoying cuz you think its going to close on you or something. They usually jam open and the motors are still running and buzzing. Alot of the time the sensors dont pick me up when I'm going to them either... I am short but kids go through these doors everyday with no trouble. so why dont they like me lol
- If a door fails to operate perfectly every time then it must be a spirit causing it to malfunction. There is no other possible explanation. You should do some research at the county records department to see if anyone was murdered near the electric door. Maybe there was an insane asylum located there at some time in the past. Tell the door spirit to go to the light. I would recommend you burn some sage root and sprinkle salt around it. Whatever you do, don't talk to the door spirit because that could open a portal to the Other Side and cause bad things to happen to you. If none of that works, ask a priest to come and bless the door to exorcise the negative energy that's obviously built up there. There was some old, grainy film footage from the Soviet Union that proves door spirits are real. The phenomenon has also been studied by a group recognized by a well-known science foundation that shows door malfunctions to be caused by spirits.
- Q: I recently purchased a 2000 Grand Am that had the stereo stripped out by the previous owner. It appears that there may have also been an alarm installed as well that was stripped out. When I recieved the vehicle the automatic door locks did not work and still do not. When I try to use them I do hear a click noise coming from the interrior fuse box. I need to know where I should start looking for the reasoning behind why it is not working and how to go about fixing it. Any ideas?
- .The clicking you hear is the relay snapping shut. That really narrows the problem down. At least with that you know the remote, the receiver, and the coil feed is working. You need to get to the relay and see if it is getting power on the hot side (not the coil). If so then see if it is making contact to send the power to the locks. Then you'll have to just trace it to the doors. I seriously doubt both of the solenoids (part that locks and unlocks the door) went bad at the same time.
- Q: Why does the automatic door adopt a parallelogram?
- The quadrilateral does not have stability. In contrast to the triangle, the triangle has a stability, with the triangle to do automatic doors, the door can not move, and can not open or not off.
- Q: The garage developers and construction side have been used, and many times changed hands. Remote control is my stay to me, the source is unknown. Whether the other remote control for the code do not know, and now dare not put other things other than the car
- Is it so complicated? You are too serious to answer it, the garage door motor has cut code function, delete all the code, and then re-match your hands on the remote control on the line. The
- Q: spilled coke on automatic door locks, now they stick. HELP?
- if you mean the electrical lock button then simpily spray with electrical contact cleaning solution realy good and work the buttons untill they dont stick anymore but make sure u put tape around the cloth of the door if any so not to mess it up if u know what i mean
- Q: i have a 2005 malibu classic.when put in gear the doors lock automatic, but they dint.same as when cut off?
- Do not fully understand your question, so I am guessing here. Automatic door locks - doors lock when you put it into gear. However they do not unlock when you stop, put in park, or shut ignition off. You must manually unlock them yourself by either the electric door lock/unlock button , or th emanual mechanisim on ht edoor.
- Q: Will the hotel entrance automatic doors need to be linked to fire acceptance?
- I really forgot, may need to put, afraid of the door locked.
- Q: I got a new house, idk the garage code and neither did the realtor. Any way it opens fine but.it won't even go half way down when you try to shut it and then it rolls all the way back up. It does shut manually but IM too short to reach so how can I fix it! The sensors are clear, nothing is blocking them. Idk how to see if they are aligned. Please help!
- The pull rope that you're using to close the door manually releases the door from a trolley. It sounds like the door needs to be engaged back into the trolley. By raising the door manually (w/o pulling the rope) hard enough, it should engage back into the trolley.
- Q: I would like to have the door to my private office connected to an electronic release mechanism so that from my desk I can push a button that would send a low voltage signal to release the door from an electronic magnet or another device that would allow the door closure to close the door. This would allow me to shut the door to my office from my desk without having to physically get up and close my office door.
- These hold open devices are used in Schools Hospitals nursing homes, theatres and so on. They are small electro magnets on the wall that a plate on the door sticks to. In case of a fire the fire alarm releases the doors thus shutting them. In your case a push of the button would break the contact shutting the door. Any fire alarm or security company has them. We have them in stock but I don't know where you are, so just call a company near you
