- Q: Electric door is to be able to open electricity is not how the matter ah
- The torque is too big, or is the reverse of the relay problem
- Q: Our automatic garage door opener has developed some problem. Repair person identified it as stripped Gear. Instead of replacing Gear (which could cost ~$50), he is suggesting to replace complete opener (cost ~$300). It seems if we replace Gear, we might have to replace it again within a year. What should we do?
- Replace the nylon gear yourself. Clips on and off.
- Q: It opens a few inches then stops. Push the button again it goes back down and then up a few inches and stops again. do it again and it closes and opens all the way. Its not the eye because the eye makes the light flash off and on when the beam is broken. There is a lot of slack in the main strut from the door to the motor. Might that have something to do with it?
- Could be as simple as oiling all the rollers. Really, you did state that the door eventually opens. When I say oiling the rollers I’m not just talking about the tracks, I mean the rollers themselves. Buy a can of light oil that has a long tube on the end. Not necessarily WD40 there are oil based oil applicators. Squeeze the oil between the shaft and roller itself you’ll be amazed.
- Q: Yumeng sliding door motor 750W, split machine with control box, to the customer to install more than a year ,,, Pan door motor with the remote control of the door closed, sometimes press the door key, can not open the door, no response, Off, press the door key, no response, and then press the door button, the motor is running, the door was shut, and listen to the motor Uh-huang's straight ring,) the door manually push and then win the remote control, the normal (Or, the magnet to take down, then press the motor on the normal operation,) with a period of more than a month or two months and the same problem, can not open the door, repeated, Guiqiu approach, thank you
- Replace the door sensor!
- Q: how do automatic doors use pneumatics to work? i need help with a project and any help would be appreciated. thanks.
- They could use pneumatics but mostly they use small motors to move them. If you want to build a door opener you can use a cylinder that can open and close it. Sliding side ways you will mount one end onto a rail that keeps it straight and the other end to the front of the cylinder shaft. You then use an pneumatic valve with either a pilot operated control via pressure plate to stand on or an electric solenoid getting a signal from a motion detector. then air is applied to the front of the cylinder to move it towards the back and then apply pressure on the back to move it forward. Use a timer to delay it though so it doesn't squash anyone. You can mount the cylinder differently for different movement. Otherwise you get pneumatic linear slides as well that Festo makes or you get pneumatic motors that can move a ball screw to move the door. Phone a Festo or Bosch agent in your area for specific products.
- Q: The little wire that sticks out to receive the signal from the remote...can I make it longer by splicing it with something? Mine is acting up. I have it pointing outside but it seems to work only sometimes. I hear cold weather affects it as well.
- What are the make, model, and age? Some do somewhat illegal things to the transmitter for distance but those things depend on the above three items. And yes you might make things worse by changing the antenna. Try new batteries in your remotes.
- Q: 12-volt access control and 24-volt Panasonic automatic door machine wiring
- 1, the general automatic door has an interface provided to the access control. 2, if not the best way is to control the automatic door of the infrared sensor
- Q: Who has an automatic door program to send me a, preferably a set of programs
- There are many types of induction automatic door machine, and in the purchase of automatic doors have a brief introduction, in this, only the translation-type induction automatic door machine as an example to introduce the basic principles of automatic door machine.
- Q: We have Yale door closers Model Number 2002SB mounted on doors that open outward to the right. Unskilled carpenters mounted closing arms on frame to the left as you face the large Yale box containing closing mechanism and doors close with a bang. What can we do to slow down the closing and stop the bang that shakes house?
- Since it isn't working you won't hurt any thing by trying to fix it. When closers wear out they will slam. If you see any oil leaking from it is worn out,& adjustment may not help. It would be a big help if you had a self help book with door closers in it. On some older Yale closers there is a little flat knob that can be turned with a screw driver or a pliers. Turn it a little clock wise & test. Repeat until it closes like you want it. If you can't get it to work right & you have turned it almost tight the closer may be worn out. If newer it may have cover over it which will be held by set screws. You will need an hex head wrench. It's best to have a set because the size is unknown at this time. Look on the body of the opener for the set screws. There could be 1 - 2 or 3 set screws. They may or may not be marked. If there are set screws on both ends the ones to the hinge side control the closing. Now for the fun part. at all times try to remember just what you are doing. If the screws are marked, tighten (Clockwise the one marked L) do this in 1/2 to 1 complete turns & check if it helps. Do this in several steps. Checking as you go. If this don't help. you have to try a different set screw. If it is unmarked you may want to reset the this screw back to where it was. Do this until it works or you just give up. If you get to the point where a screws is tight back off a little, the closer wont close if the screw is tight. Have fun.
- Q: I have a 2 car steal roll up door with a Genie 1024. It's by far the slowest opener I've seen. On my 3rd door I have an old American Door co opener and it's at least twice as fast. The springs on the door are well balanced. I tested them by disconnecting the opener and ensuring I could open the door by hand with just two fingers. Is there some sort of speed adjustment? BTW it's been slow since the day it was installed.
- Boy, talk about a slow opener! If a opener opens a door 7 per second it will only take 12 seconds for a 7' high door to open completely. Otherwise his comment about the slow start/slow/stop, meaning that the normal speed part of the opener has went bad so it will run in slo-mo. At least it's opening. You will probably end up replacing the board. Not sure it that model has lifetime warranty on parts or not. I have been selling genies (not that model) for over twelvew years and only had that same thing happen one time.
