Q: i have a 2005 malibu classic.when put in gear the doors lock automatic,but they dint.same as when cut off?: Do not fully understand your question, so I am guessing here. Automatic door locks - doors lock when you put it into gear. However they do not unlock when you stop, put in park, or shut ignition off. You must manually unlock them yourself by either the electric door lock/unlock button , or th emanual mechanisim on ht edoor.

Q: does anyone know how to disable the auto locking feature? we have a sprinter van at work and the doors always lock and its inconvienient. i know you can disable it, because the other one we have doesnt do it. we dont have the manual either cause it is probably in there.thanks: never heard of factory unit doing it/its probably an add on unit /gotta get that fact settled

Q: My wife did this once with the car running and I didn't have a spare key. It was kinda funny.: That's happened at my school, when we've been working on running cars and someone forgets to roll down the window. Q: With 3 dogs, it would be wonderful to have a dog door, so that they can go outside in the yard when they need/want to go. But, with 2 cats as well, a dog door isn't really safe or realistic.I looked into it a bit and read about the Automatic Dog door that has 'remotes' and only those with it on their collar, and get through the dog door.....this would be fantastic!
