Q:I have a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and want to install an after market key-less entry and start up system. It doesn't have automatic door locks (inside). Can I still install it?: You can - but only the remote start feature will work. Unless you have automatic door locks installed, it won't remotely unlock the doors.

Q:I had the truck towed into the dealer for electrical problems , when the truck got there the power door locks worked , after the dealer work on it , they called me and said it was done and that I could pick it up,the first thing I noticed the power locks didnt work anymore so I told them right away and they said that the locks had nothing too do with what they did and I would have too pay too get them fixed.: i cannot beleive that people make up answers when they have absolutely no idea how a car works. (see above answer). the door locks on a 2002-2008 ram truck are solely controlled by the instrument cluster. the insturment cluster has an integral body control module making it a cabin compartment node. the pdc is under the hood along with the pcm. the only thing the pcm or pdc (called the IPM on 02 and newer trucks) is this. when your vehicle speed reaches 15 mph the cluster looks at tps postion. it does this through the pci bus system that the module communicate on. vehicle speed is broadcast over the bus for all modules to pick up. if tps is under 15% the ccn will lock the doors automatically. there is no power door lock relay. there is no speed sensor that makes a relay work. they are controlled by a low side driver from the ccn, not a relay. what exaclty did they do to your truck when you had it worked on? what was wrong with it and what did they replace?

Q:hii have a chevy impala....whenever i click the unlock button in my key chain, all the doors open execpt the driver side door...and then i have to open it manually....and its the same while closing...whenever i click the lock button, everything gets locked except the driver side door....just wanted to know is this how it works in others cars...or is there a problem with my car....what might be the fix for this issue: From what you have stated you have a problem with the drivers door lock actuator.You should have the dealer or local repair check the operation of the drivers door lock actuator.They are going to find the problem there with the wiring or defective door lock actuator.Best of luck.
