Q: I know that NiMH batteries self-discharge over time, but mine are discharging in just a matter of hours. I am using them in a RC airplane. They are 9.6V 650mah AAA packs. I charge them up just as they should be and they put out full power when I test them in my plane. I go to the gym for a couple hours and stop by the flying field on the way home, but when I plug the battery in the motor on the airplane immediately goes to cut-off.An interesting note: If I hold the arming button down to keep the motor going, eventually it will work itself up to putting out enough power to do some low powered flight and will last the duration over normal flight time for the airplane
one or more of the cells has failed leading other cells to discharge into it , buy some tagged AAA cells and rebuild the packs
Q: I just got my xbox 360 2 weeks ago and i cant use it without plugging it in (it has chargable battery pack) i charge it for LONG periods of time but when i unplug it and play the most it lasts is 2 minutes
Make sure that when you plug it, the little light turns RED. If it turns green too fast, it means it is NOT charging!! Try plugging and unplugging it. I actually saw a video where a guy said that if this happens it might mean your controller is completely drained, even so much as to charge itself, so what you should do is plug it, wait for the light to turn red, then when it turns green unplug it and plug it again, and then continue this process for several instances until it is able to charge itself! Hope this helps!!
Q: I'm doing a project where I'll have to use red christmas lights to put on a posterboard. There won't be any outlets available for me so I thought I could buy a battery pack but I can't find them anywhere so I just thought I'd make one. How do you make one? What kind of batteries do I need to use?
The battery pack depends on what kind of lights you will use and how much voltage and current they will required for a given time period. You obviously need to use LED's as oppose to incadescant lamps. The current and voltage will be determine by the number of lights you will use and the amount. Once you have determine this, you can figure what type of battery pack will be required, which can be D cells in series/parallel combination to accomplish the voltage and current requirements, or a single UPS dry cell type battery.
Q: Every time I tap on the battery pack on the back, it disconnects my controller. It's extremely frustrating because every time I put my controller down on a table, it disconnects. Does anyone know why this is? My battery pack doesn't look loose.
It's not uncommon for a wireless controller's batter pack to behave like that. There are several different things you can do. The first is is a more sarcastic approach in tightly taping the battery to the controller. The second is to be extra gentle in setting the controller down to determine the exact level of sensitivity so you can put your controller down without losing the wireless connection. The third is to hardline the controller to the Xbox, though that would obviously take the fun out of playing wirelessly. The fourth and least likely option is to buy a new controller. Generally, the most frequent cause of a controller's disconnecting is lack of contact between the battery and the controller. Even the slightest lacking will sever the connection to the Xbox. If the battery pack fits the compartment on the bottom of the controller perfectly, and you can't push it towards you and feel it budge, then it might not be the battery pack; it could be the controller itself. If that's the case, you are likely looking at a possible replacement controller. It happens. Sometimes you get a lemon. Make sure you don't buy merchendise at gaming outlets. As unusual as that might seem, you'll commonly get a better deal if you go to Target or Walmart. Before you consider the possibility, I would strongly recommend you try my trouble shooting suggestions mentioned above. Experience has shown the problem to be between the battery and the controller. It might be different for you. Good luck!
Q: I bought a shaver that came with two rechargeable battery packs (2 x AA 900mAh 1.2V)Both packs powered the shaver fully for awhile until the energy was drained. However, the adapter (AC: 200V~50Hz DC: 3V 500mA) it came with does not charge either battery pack. When I plug the adapter to the battery pack, the red light comes on, so I know contact is being made, but no matter how long I leave it there, either battery pack does not charge.I'm not electrically skilled, so I was hoping someone on here could help me out.
Check if you have followed properly the battery polarity connection to its terminal. The contact must be positive to positive and negative to negative. If it was not followed the charger's red light will still comes on,but the battery pack will not charge because there is a reverse polarity circuit protection inside the charger. This is to protect the battery in case it was inserted in reverse position (polarity). The power supply current will not charge the battery or goes to battery. It will be blocked by the diode protection that is connected in series, This diode allows current passing in one direction only (polarized forward) and does not in the opposite (reverse polarization).
Q: I have a Canon Rebel T3i and an extended battery pack I want to keep on my camera. I tug and tug and tug to get it out of my current bag. (Some reason it goes in easily) A case logic, with a top opening to slide in the camera lens for separate keeping with my base. I typically keep a 18-200mm as my walk around lens, and would love to keep that attached as well. It's pretty much impossible to see if any cameras have battery packs on, in images provided while I online bag shop. Any bag I buy MUST be zip shut to keep out dust and dirt! Thank You!
Multi-Pocket Oxford Cloth Bag with Compass for 10 Laptop/DSLR Camera - Black from any sopping you can purchase you will get so many sites if you search the google.
Q: I have been having some controller/charger/battery problems to the point where it doesn't work anymore (plus many other reasons), and I decided to go back to the more primitive time of using AA battery packs, which DON'T have AS MANY ware/breaking/degrading/destruction over time problems as the rechargeable get over two years of occasional playAnyway, is there ANY place to buy battery packs for the 360 that require AA's? I'll probably call Microsoft if there isn't any I already sent an e-mail in p
try wal-mart or OKorder.
Q: I have replaced the ni-cad cells in my 18V bosch drill with li-ion cells (respecting the voltage and wiring). Can I use the original ni-cad charger? The charger knew when to stop charging with the ni-cad battery, will it do the same now?Thank you.
No. You need to use a charger special for Li-Ion cells, and with that a multi-tap charger. You can incorporate the per cell monitoring and charge controller in the battery pack.
Q: UPS battery pack maintenance time calculation?
Find the total power that the input needs to enter. High power UPS efficiency of 80%, total power = load power ÷ 80% = 6 (KW) ÷ 80% = 7.5 (KW)
Q: Hi, I need to know a good battery pack for this camcorder, the battery that came with it only lasts about 60 minutes, I want one that lasts at least two hours, because I am about to go on a trip.
From Canon. BP-2L14 You can use the original as a spare - while one is in use, the other is charging Get the CB-2LW Battery Charger, too.
