- All T-Mobile phones are ridiculously slow and lag, not to be negative lol just honest. There isn't one phone I would recommend on the T-Mobile network as a very displeased T-Mobile costumer who has gone through MANY phones. I would recommend a Samsung Galaxy s3 on Sprint, or an iPhone 4s on Verizon as your best options.

- If you don't want to use it a phone, then you shouldn't have any problems. There's no activation fee, but you might have to pay for the first month's free to help activate it before you can use the programs. Not sure if you would or not, I just paid it on mine since I use it as a phone any way. If you want to use mp3's on it like you said, I'd watch out because it may be hard. I haven't had the same phone you said about exactly, but I have had several Virgin Mobile phones and Virgin Mobile has all the phones they sell set to not download anything from sites they don't like, which basically means anything free.
