Q:I'm looking to fill in a concrete pool and don't know where to start looking. I don't want to hire a middle man contractor that will get someone else to do the job and then charge me 25% more then what they paid to do the job.: I would get the largest concrete bit and drill 200 holes in the bottom of the pool.. Also, maybe wack out a few holes with a sledge hammer.. Then put advert on CL saying fill wanted.. People may even pay you a little if you take lousy rubble grade fill...

Q:After digging a 5x5x5 hole in my back yard, the excavators loaded up and took off. They claim that they quot;hit hard rock at 5 ft.quot;. I went in the excavated hole and found nothing different in the bottom, than the first 5 ft. I did find some small river rocks about the size of my shoe, but the backhoe they had in here could easily dig that up. Now they want an additional $750 for 12 inches! They needed to dig down to 6 Ft for a 5 ft pool. I understand this.Walks like a scam, smells like a scam, and looks like a scam. What are some opinions on this?: They ought to know the geology of the area unless they're from way outta town. Their packing up everything is a bit stupid as well. Now they have to float the excavator back to the job site again. Were they using a mini excavator? That MAY explain it, if they ran across a boulder. The machine wouldn't have the guts to move it. Personally, either they were unprepared, inexperienced or looking to pad the float fee.

Q:Hi, I have a Komatsu excavator model # PC20-1, serial # 10587. The motor tag says model 2D94-2 serial #29226. It is a 2 cylinder diesel. I believe that it is a grey market machine. I need to know where I can buy a head gasket. I am told that yanmar possibly made the motor but I need to know which yanmar motor it is to order the gasket. Q:I have a Kebelco SK120 excavator, and when you retract the arm until it stops and keep the lever in retract it kills the engine. This is the only position it does it in, and I have already changed the relief valves with no luck... Any ideas would be great!!: Replace the JP 2 line.
