- Q: i have a lightning audio amp, it was wokring a few months ago when i pulled it out of my car, i tried yesterday to see if it worked, it turned one for 5 seconds and went into protection mode, so i tested it with the battery and it did the same, and the cables got hot, and help please
- yeah you probably need bigger hots and grounds your wires should never get hot
- Q: Welding cable (230v) doesn't, so why would (14v) car audio cables
- it as a lot of current run thru it help to keep other thingsd from burning a long with the cable it self its amps not volts
- Q: Ok A few months ago i bought parts for a brand new pc and recently got the video card and well the power supply PCI-e cable is a 6 pin and the motherboard requires a 4 pin. A friend said there are adapters but i've only seen one and it was not very good rating wise. So I'm looking to find out if there are adapters or if i need to get another power supple.
- See how that one is a 4pin connector and has 2 extra pins that are snapped on the side?
- Q: I am running a LAN Cable through my walls, and I'm using the existing holes for the power lines. I'm wondering if the RF from the power line can interfere with the LAN Cables data. Thanks!
- If putting them near power lines, ALWAYS get the shielded cables. Like Wikipedia says: Shielded cables are useful for environments where proximity to power cables, RF equipment, or high power equipment may introduce crosstalk, and can also be used where interference with radio receivers or where eavesdropping likelihood should be minimised.
- Q: I bought a power wire off a dealer and in order to connect it to the battery I don't have the little fuse box at the end like most people have. Is this necessary for installation? Cause my friend said it might cause a fire..im no expert?
- The fuse isnt mandatory but its a good thing to have if your drawing alot of power then you will need it ive blown like 4 then i upgraded no more blown fuses but ya you should get one
- Q: So I have a subwoofer in my trunk and was wondering if I could use the big power cables (coming from my battery) going into the amp (which is a JL Audio JX1000) to power some LED's that I want to install. My plan was to cut out a small section of the rubber sheath (or whatever you call it) from each power cable and put the clamps from a power inverter on them, then plug my LED's into the power inverter. After putting the clamps on I would use electrical tape or something to cover any exposed areas of the cable. Would this work? If it does work, which color clamp (black/red) would i put on which cable? One says quot;groundand is blue and the other says quot;+12VDCand is red. Also I have a toggle switch near the driver seat to cut the power from the amp so the LED's won't be left on after the car is turned off. Let me know if I'm leaving out any further information needed to answer my question.
- You okorder /... Your power inverter, I am not sure what kind of cabling it will require for it to be powered properly as well. Ground is usually connected to Black. And +12v is usually Red.
- Q: Regarding car audio setup, if I were to have an 8 ga power cable powering an amplifier for subs, what would happen if I were to use a smaller ga grounding cable? What if I used a larger ground cable?
- size ground cable power cable effect sound system
- Q: I tried looking up the the model # and a couple of sites that would sell it but cant find any. Also the player is like 2 years old so hard to find anything about it.
- What is the question here? Are you looking to buy a replacement power cable? One of the multi use ones would work fine, set it for 9 volts. The other important part is the current rating (amps or mA). What does the DVD player say it needs? Make sure the new power cord can supply at least that much. Voltage: try 9 first, if not work then try 10 or 11 or 12. No higher than 12. Current: the same number or higher than listed on the player.
- Q: i just moved from canada to asia and the voltage in canada was 110 and here its 240 so i have a ps3 and i plugged it into a converter(converts voltage). After im done playing i noticed that the power cable is warm and you could move the two positive and negative prongs very easily as if they were about to come out of the cable. I have no idea what to do HELP!!!!!!!
- The ps3 supports both 120 and 220 Voltage.
- Q: What is the difference between a power cable and an ordinary wire?
- The line is to be reserved, the installation will have a certain degree of tightness
