- dont know too much about this but I know copper is a popular one, but now a days they are using light and fiber to communicate over wires. The phiber is encased with a mirror type material that is shetthed around the fiber and a light is sent trough the wire, the light bounces of the mirror coating until it reaches the other side. they use a serious of flashes, on/off of the light to communicate 0 1's as data down the phiober. then they use different frequencies of light so they can send multiple 0 or 1's down the fiber. I know this is off topic but oh well

- Well the reason why I don't have much love for Nu is that it's too generic and unoriginal like the songs have the same 3-5 chords and no solos, the teen angst lyrics, and also the vocals are midrange mediocrity. I'm not saying Nu Metal is bad, I'm just giving my opinions about it. They are some exceptions in Nu Metal like Deftones, System of a Down, Sevendust, and some of KoRn's early stuff.

- Metal sounds like a million different things. Some people like the stuff that sounds like a full dumpster falling down some stairs. But there's some amazing musical talent and passion in metal. Check out some Black Sabbath, or Megadeth. Or Van Halen. Iron Maiden too. Or Dio. Or Ozzy Osbourne. You might like the stuff that's not Death Metal.

- There are two sorts of reflection: diffuse reflection and specular reflection. Diffuse reflection is when light rays hit a rough surface, and the light bounces EVERYWHERE. When the light is reflected everywhere, it doesn't look shiny, or lustrous--this is because not enough light is being reflected into your eyes. In specular reflection, the surface is flat and perfect, and the light that hits the surface all bounces in the SAME direction. When all the light travels in the same direction, it all enters your eyes. When the light hits the metal, the reason why a metal would have lustre is because its surface is smooth and perfect (or smooth and flat enough), so the light that hits it is reflected in the same direction and most of the rays enter your eyes. The smoother the surface, the more reflective it is, baby!
