Q:I was just curious how this would be done. I mean some people have ponds that are 4 acres or more on their property and I was wondering how that is achieved. I mean it's not like they dig a hole in an afternoon, grab their garden hose and let it fill up. Also how much would such a thing cost?: It depends on where you live. In Nevada for example putting in a large pond is quite the undertaking with an extensive permitting process. You have to have water right and be permitted to store water in a pond. You have to meet certain criteria if the pond holds a large volume of water and have dam safety inspections and permitting through the environmental protection agency. Once you are legally allowed to create a pond, then it is large excavation and may need lining and corrosion control along the banks. Normally large ponds have surface water inlets like ditches, creeks, etc, and would not be filled with a hose.

Q:Excavator maintenance: not sure what the question is but i will give it a shot. grease all pivot points daily. change oil and filters per the maintenance schedule for your machine, usually measured in hours of service. check for cracks in the machine that may need welding daily. track adjustment needs to be maintained also and this will depend on how much you tram it. if you are working in one area say loading out trucks all day long it wont be as often as it would be if you are having to tram the machine allot. there is a whole lot of things to consider, like hyd hoses, filters etc

Q:Hello,My mother's co-worker accidentally dug up a turtle nest while using an excavator, and most of the eggs were crushed and broken, except for 6. My mom brought the 6 eggs to me, and I have no clue as to what I should do. Right now they are in a large flower pot or dirt, sitting about three inches under the surface. The flower pot is sitting beside a window that gets sun during the day. The eggs look like the first picture on this web page.: if it's possible to get sand, that would be better. Just keep them about 4-5 inches from the surface, and you can keep them in the sun all day (as they would be in the wild). Their mom doesn't look after them at all anyways. Not sure what the dimpling could be a sign of, but it is normal.
