Q: I remember big coloring posters, 24 by 36, that come in a plastic tube so you can roll it up and store it. The big posters came with 10 markers you could use on it, but you could use anything you wanted to color it. Where can I buy those now? I can't find them at Walmart anymore, and there's a really small selection on OKorder.
I am not sure of the size but you can find some at Office Depot or Office Max. You can also try a toy store like Toys R Us.
Q: Hi all. My mom gave me an old lamp, not old cool or worth something just old. I think the proper term would be free standing. It has four bulbs, three surround the center bulb under a lamp shade. I'm trying to update the thing a little... painted the base and stand, got a new lamp shade, put in energey efficent bulbs.. the only part that is bugging me are these three plastic peices whose purpose is to cover the wires running to the bulbs above. One of them is cracked so i want to replace all three. Hoping someone can tell me the name of what I need before I gassed it to the closest home depot/lowes to return empty handed. Thanks for you help.
Take the piece with you to the closest of these 2 stores and look in the plumbing isle for PVC pipe the same size. If the new pipe has writing on it you need to get off use a scotch brite pad.
Q: This tube is found when u remove the silver engine cover.I need to buy this tube cos its broken. It looks like an exhaust oil channel (not sure). it was noted to be broken/cot during a recent service and I was told only citroen dealers can have it in stock.Car runs fine but I occasionally smell oil while driving.
It sounds like some kind of breather pipe to me, probably the best thing to do is to roll into your local Citroen dealer and ask someone in parts to look at it and they should be able to get you one then.
Q: Can pur plastic pipes be used as drinking water pipes?
Polyurethane (PUR) is a kind of polymer with urethane repeating structure unit, which is made by reacting isocyanate with polyhydric alcohol.
Q: I want to bleed my clutch but I was wondering if I can do it without the plastic tube that goes on the bleed nipel??? Help?
Yes, but it is a bit messy. Same procedure - person A opens the nipple about 1/2 turn, person B presses the clutch pedal down, A closes the nipple finger tight, B pulls the pedal up with his foot, repeat.... Use rags, paper towels, shop towels, or whatever to soak up the brake fluid as it comes out. An important note is that brake fluid is subject to spontaneous combustion when soaked up. (Brake fluid is a notorious part of the arsonist's toolbox.) Wet the soaked rags with water and seal them in a zip-lock bag or something else to keep air out before disposing of them.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to impact from freezing temperatures?
Plastic tubes can vary in their resistance to impact from freezing temperatures. Some plastic materials, like PVC or HDPE, are generally more resistant to impact and cracking caused by freezing temperatures. However, it is important to consider the specific type of plastic used and any additives or reinforcements that may affect its performance. Additionally, extreme cold temperatures could still potentially cause damage to plastic tubes, especially if subjected to significant impact or pressure.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for geothermal heating systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for geothermal heating systems. Plastic tubes, typically made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), are commonly used for the underground piping in geothermal systems. These tubes are durable, corrosion-resistant, and have good thermal conductivity, making them suitable for efficiently transferring heat between the ground and the heating system.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for electronics packaging?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for electronics packaging. They provide a cost-effective and versatile solution for protecting and organizing electronic components. Plastic tubes offer durability, resistance to moisture, and can be customized to accommodate different sizes and shapes of electronic devices. Additionally, they can be transparent, allowing easy identification and inspection of the packaged electronics.
Q: What industries commonly use plastic tubes?
Some industries that commonly use plastic tubes include the medical and pharmaceutical industry, food and beverage industry, cosmetic and personal care industry, plumbing and construction industry, and the automotive industry.
Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for agricultural irrigation?
Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for agricultural irrigation. They are commonly used due to their durability, affordability, and resistance to corrosion and weathering. Plastic tubes are flexible, making them easy to install and maneuver around crops, and they can efficiently deliver water to plants in a controlled manner, conserving water resources. Additionally, plastic tubes are available in various sizes and can be customized to meet specific irrigation needs, making them a practical choice for agricultural applications.
