- Q: How do you clean clogged plastic tubes?
- To clean clogged plastic tubes, you can start by removing any removable parts such as filters or screens and rinsing them under hot water. Then, use a plunger to create suction and try to dislodge the clog by vigorously plunging the tube. Alternatively, you can use a long, flexible brush or a pipe cleaner to maneuver through the tube and loosen the blockage. If these methods do not work, you may need to use a chemical cleaner specifically designed for unclogging plastic pipes, following the instructions on the packaging carefully.
- Q: The water dispenser tube on the outside front has a hard yellow substance on the end of the tube. I don't know what it is or how to get the tube out to clean it.
- Sounds like sulphur. You must have sulphur in your water. Scrap it off and expect to have to do it again. Good luck I believe the GE models the tube is foamed in place not changable by itself. The entire door would have to be changed out. very expenssive. Try a small bottle type brush to clear it. Good luck
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of shelf life?
- Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of shelf life. Over time, plastic tubes can degrade due to exposure to sunlight, heat, moisture, and certain chemicals. This can lead to changes in the physical properties of the tube, such as brittleness or discoloration, which may compromise its functionality and shelf life. Additionally, certain plastic materials used in tubes may have a limited lifespan, particularly if they are not stored properly or if the tube is subjected to harsh conditions. Therefore, it is important to consider these limitations and adhere to recommended storage and usage guidelines to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of plastic tubes.
- Q: i leave my oil tubes in a clear plastic bin, but ive left it near the window and the sun hit em most of the day... but the tubes are like some sort of soft metal, maybe aluminum? So i mean, i know its never good to put anything in the sun for long, but the paints are in a tube where i think, sun wouldn't really affect em...as for heat. im not sure what that would do to em.
- A day? No problem. A week? Maybe. A month of summer? You can still salvage the paint but you would need to repack it. The better art shops actually have empty paint tubes.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be painted or coated?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be painted or coated.
- Q: How is dialysis tubing different from the plasma membrane? Give two reasons.
- dialysis tubing is a thin plastic tube that is compared to the plasma membrane. dialysis tubing is not a part of cells, it is a plastic prop used for experiments such as testing selective permeability. so there alot of differences, the main one being that the plasma membrane is actually in cells, where as dialysis tubing just reinacts what the cell membrane does.
- Q: has anyone had the die test done to check your tube? if so please share you story?
- Yes, and I don't want to scare you, but for me, it really really hurt. First they use a larger than normal speculum to hold your vagina open so they can see what they're doing. Then they use a swab with iodine to sterilize the cervix. Then they insert a long handled hemostat to pinch the edge of your uterus to hold it still so they can put the little tube in there. Then comes the super ouchy part, where they thread a little plastic tube into the cervix. I have heard some women say it was no big deal, and some say it didn't even hurt, but for me, it was horrible. Like a bad PMS cramp times a million. Like someone stabbed me in the uterus with a butcher knife. Then the little x-ray guy runs in, and pushes the dye through the tube, and looks at it in a monitor, which was pretty neat, bc I could see it on the monitor, and that kind of stuff fascinates me. Then the x-ray guy runs out, and my gyne pulled the whole fandangle out. He was going slowly, trying to be gentle, and I was like, I don't care! Just get this junk out of me!! But, on the bright side, the painful part lasted about 30 seconds. So don't stress too much. Even if you're one of the women for whom it will be painful, it is over very quickly. Good luck!
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for industrial applications?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for a variety of industrial applications. They offer benefits such as resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and high temperatures. Plastic tubes are commonly used in industries such as plumbing, automotive, manufacturing, and construction for fluid transportation, electrical wiring, insulation, and structural support.
- Q: i have to know, because otherwise the hoover is rendered completely useless, the bottle cap is the same size as the hoover tube and i do not have a stick or long object long enough with which to poke it out :(please help meunfortunately, the hoover tube is plastic :( regrettably majority of said tube is plastic and flexible...this darned cap! therefore cannot be heated up, as the hoover will melt..and i can't afford another one!so hanything else anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciatedthe cap is stuck quite far up, but in a solid part of the plastic, im not sure blowing would dislodge it as sheer hoover sucking power seems to do nothingHELP PLEASE!
- Oh I had this same issue. Some of the methods I tried. Broom handle Mop handle Fork spoon knife the clothes pole from my cupboard Taking off the end of the hoover pipe. There's these 2 0r 3 bits you need to push in in order to get it off. It's real hard to do. Takes 2 people. Good luck. That's the most annoying thing in the world.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for use in extreme temperatures?
- Plastic tubes have varying degrees of temperature resistance depending on the type of plastic used. Some plastics can withstand extreme temperatures, while others may deform or become brittle. It is crucial to consider the specific type of plastic and its temperature range before determining their suitability for use in extreme temperatures.
