If you go to the scrapbook/craft store you can see a lot of options, from solid colors to decorative paper. Select your background paper and then attach your photos to it using adhesive from the scrapbook aisle. You want acid-free, lignin-free and archival safe products (pens, glue, tape, paper, etc) so it will last and last and not fade or yellow. You can make your pages as elaborate as you want. I usually choose a background, matte my photos on cardstock, add a journal box and some embellishments.
