I needed some type of end piece so I wound up using plain old Xmas ornament s that I glued in the ends. You can cover them with fabric or paint them. I glued them in after hanging the curtains and drapes but kept them loose enough at one end to remove them for cleaning the drapes when needed. Go for it. No one will know the difference
