- Q:What are the common uses for plastic sheets?
- Plastic sheets have a wide range of common uses, including but not limited to: packaging materials, construction and building applications (such as roofing, windows, and insulation), protective coverings for furniture or flooring, signage and advertising displays, medical and healthcare equipment, automotive parts, and various DIY projects.
- Q:How do plastic sheets compare to PVC sheets?
- Plastic sheets and PVC sheets are essentially the same thing. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride, which is a type of plastic. So, there is no significant difference between plastic sheets and PVC sheets as they both refer to the same material.
- Q:A sheet of plastic, n = 1.5, 25 mm thick is used in a bank teller's window. A ray of light strikes the sheet at an angle of 45°. The ray leaves the sheet at 45° but at a different location. Use a ray diagram to find the distance between the ray that leaves and the one that would have left if the plastic were not there. mm
- David, your answer is incorrect according to the webassign. I'd done exactly that,
- Q:Does anyone know where to purchase those little flexible plastic sheets that go over things like cell phone screens , while they're been shipped , then you peel them off...reason being , I'm gonna see if this would work with my glasses :D.Also , does anyone know where I could get something to fill in the scratches in them too , ? :DThanks everyone,Joe
- erm, i've seen those scratch remover kits at like grocery stores.. but I think you should google and find a website, then do store locator if there is one
- Q:What are the main uses of plastic sheets?
- A branch of applied general plastic polymer material belongs to the (there are other rubber, fibers, adhesives, functional polymer etc.). Because of the polymer to add some additives can be obtained through the press plastic plate, and can be divided into two kinds of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic plate. In general, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, ABS so, each application is different, but in general, can be used as building materials, decoration and other purposes. If you ask the question more closely, I can give you a better answer.

- Go have a look at fake panelling. the stuff with printed wood grain on it. If you turn it over, the back of it is usually ribbon cut mahogany. I did a cabin interior with it and finished the joints with stained pine lath and it looks like.......expensive!
- Q:Are plastic sheets resistant to yellowing or discoloration over time?
- Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to yellowing or discoloration over time.
- Q:How do plastic sheets compare to ABS sheets?
- Plastic sheets and ABS sheets are both types of thermoplastic materials, but they have some differences. ABS sheets are known for their high impact resistance and strength, making them suitable for applications that require durability. On the other hand, plastic sheets are more diverse in terms of material composition and properties. They can vary in terms of strength, flexibility, transparency, and temperature resistance. Therefore, the choice between plastic sheets and ABS sheets depends on the specific requirements of the intended application.
- Q:How should the plastic cutting boards be cleaned?
- Vinegar disinfection: cut the fish cutting board, just wash, sprinkle a little vinegar on the surface, put it in the sun to dry, and then rinse with water, there will be no smell. In addition, there are two points to remind you is: first, no matter what kind of disinfection method is used, we must first break the plate clean. Two cut and cooked food should be separated from different chopping boards. Only in this way can better prevent the spread of bacteria
- Q:It's flat, like paper, but with a layer of plastic over top of it that has grooves into it that refracts the image printed on the paper. You used to get them in cereal/crackerjack boxes, or printed on a child's plastic ruler, or sometimes even the cover of a book would have them. Depending on the angle that you hold them, you see different images. You could tip them back and forth to produce a little 5 or 6 frame animation. Or some of them even let you see some basic 3D stereoscopic images. You don't need to wear 3D glasses or anything, it's just a flat thing. What's that technology called? I'm trying to find info about them and I don't know what they're called. Is there a company that will make them for me?
- You may be talking about a Fresnel lens which is flat but provides magnification. It consists of grooves in the plastic. You can see odd optical things when you bend it or look at it at an angle. You may also be talking about a polarizing filter which physically blocks some of the light waves and allows other light waves to pass thru. The grooves are too small to see. I suppose you could have a polarized Fresnel lens.
