- Q: If iron is melted and then a powerfullt;electromagnet brought near it, will the iron be attracted towards the magnet.
- Yes, but not as strongly. Above the Curie temperature, iron is no longer ferromagnetic, but it is still paramegnetic. Molten iron cannot maintain a permanent magnetic orientation.
- Q: heinrich adds lots of oxygen gas to some iron to produce 110g. of iron (III) oxide. How many grams of iron did she start with?
- I choose this could help. including tension to the oxygen make a compressed oxygen widely used to be pressurized oxygen. including tension to oxygen make it much less reactive or stable. including a compressed oxygen to the iron(III)oxide only make the yield under the reaction of iron(III)oxide with none compressed oxygen. occasion 2 Fe^ +3 + O^ -2 (not compressed) Fe2O3 yield approximately 2g (it particularly is only an occasion) in 2 Fe^ +3 + O^ -2 (utilising compressed) Fe2O3 yield in basic terms 1g (it particularly is only an occasion) see utilising a robust oxygen low the quantity of yield of iron(III)oxide.
- Q: what does iron do for you?
- the exhaust did,nt do it. i had new exhaust put on my car and it did,nt hurt my car.
- Q: I am borderline anemic. I‘m a 19 year old female. I take 18 mg of iron daily, which is more than the RDA, so obviously something is inhibiting the iron absorption. I eat a lot of whole wheat products, sweet potatoes, white meat, and occasionally green beans or lettuce. I drink water, fruit juice, and soda. Can anyone tell me if anything I eat or drink is inhibiting my iron absorption? Also, what helps improve iron absorption? I know Vitamin C is one thing helps improve iron absorption, and I used to drink orange juice for that, but I can‘t anymore due to acid reflux. What else is a good source of Vitamin C?
- The metal conduit is the ground. Commercial buildings require metal conduit and don't use any ground wires.
- Q: is iron a good conductor
- Iron's thermal conductivity at 300 K is 80.4 W·m?1·K?1 Silver's thermal conductivity is 429 W·m?1·K?1 Iron's electrical conductivity is 18.00 %IACS (percent of International Annealed Copper Standard) or 1.044E+07 Siemens / meter Pure silver's is 108.40 %IACS or 6.287E+07 Siemens / meter Therefore, silver is a better conductor all around. Other materials are better or worse. It depends on what your definition of a good conductor is.
- Q: So I am trying to increase my iron levels as I have to give blood soon. Well I picked up an iron supplement and I took one. Well I just realized that it has 65 mg of iron in one pill. Why would they sell these if toxicity is over 50mg. Am I gonna be okay?
- It is great that you are giving blood. However, unless you are suffering from iron deficiency anemia, no amount of iron is going to increase your hemoglobin count. You could take iron after the event, to speed up recovery, but most people do not have a problem in getting back to a normal level. 65mg of elemental iron ( usually in salt of iron about 300mg ) is the treatment dose for simple anemia. Toxic levels for an adult male start at about 700mg of elemental iron daily. If your hemoglobin level is normal, you need no more than 20mg daily for good health. Plenty of foods contain iron including green vegetables and liver
- Q: is or u do is fly cause if it is i will get iron man 2
- I played the demo and it was cool for the first five minutes but it feels like it will be a very repetative game, I wouldn't get it if I were you.
- Q: Can you straighten up permed hair with an iron? Is it damaging?Jessie xx
- like you mean a clothes iron? or like a flat iron for hair? cuz either way its gonna be damaging. anything you do to your hair is damaging. but a little secret. if you have permed hair and want it straight and dont have a hair straightener. u can use an iron. i wouldnt recommend it. because it can be more damaging then a regular hair straightener but if u decide to use it. go to a beauty supplies store. or a salon and pick up a shine spray. itll keep the hair somewhat protected and will also make it shiny. just when using shine spray DO NOT use near scalp area because your hair will look like a grease pit. good luck hun.
- Q: Iron can form two different ionic compounds with oxygen-- Fe2O3 and FeO.I don‘t understand how this happens! Thanks!
- it forms more than two, it can also make Fe3O4, and also oxyhydroxides like FeO(OH) and Fe(OH)3. The reason is that iron has three commonly possible oxidation statesiron with zero charge (iron metal), iron with a 2+ charge (as in FeO) and iron with a 3+ charge, as in Fe2O3. In the right chemical conditions, some of the iron can be in the 2+ state, and other iron in the 3+ state, which is how you get Fe3O4. iron can be stable at either 2+ of 3+, depending upon how oxidizing the system is. When there is a lot of stuff that wants electrons, like oxygen, iron is mostly 3+. when there is only stuff that wants electrons about the same as iron, it is in the 2+ state. When there is not much of anything competing for electrons, iron forms iron metal (Fe)
