4.Details
Aluminium foil (or aluminum foil) is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.2 millimetres (8 mils); thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres (0.24 mils) are also commonly used.In the United States, foils are commonly gauged in thousandths of an inch or mils. Standard household foil is typically 0.016 mm (0.63 mils) thick, and heavy duty household foil is typically 0.024 mm (0.94 mils). Thefoil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimeslaminated to other materials such as plastics or paper to make them more useful. Aluminium foil supplantedtin foil in the mid 20th century.
In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.
5.FAQ
1)what is aluminum?
Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.
Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

- it's your deodorant mixed with sweatyou just have to bleach the spots to get rid of them, there's not really a way to prevent them.
- Q: So, my current fork's tube length is about 8quot;, I'm getting a new fork around 9.5quot;once installed people sometimes have these little rings to put onto the tube till your handle bars are high enough so its not 100% concealed on the tube just like 5MM aboveIs that necessary to have those spacer things?
- Spacers are used to raise the stem up until the bars are at your preferred heightAny steer tube that protrudes above the stem once the bars are high enough is cut off about 1/2 the height of one spacer above the stem, a star fangled nut is installed in the steer tube, one spacer is installed above the stem, and the top cap is installed to hold the stem in placeIf the steer tube is aluminum or steel, a tubing cutter can be used to cut the steer tubeIf the steer tube is carbon, a hack saw can be used with a cutting guide.
- Q: I'm doing a research poster on it and I realized some websites have it spelled either wayI've always spelled it as quot;aluminumquot; but I'm not sure anymoreAre they both correct oryeah?I feel dumb; please excuse my stupidity.
- In the USA it is spelled Aluminum, in England it is spelled Aluminium I am not sure how true this is but the story that I have heard behind this difference is that before the element was commonly used for baking and whatnot, it was like any other random element on the periodic table that the majority of Americans did not know the name ofThe American company Reynold's from nowaday's Reynold's Wrap misspelled the element on their packaging and since most of America did not know the correct spelling, it just became incorporated into American lingo as Aluminum.

- Q: Can you help me out with an easy, easy fudge recipe?

- Q: I am going to go on a 3 week long camping trip where I'm not even bringing a tent, here is what I'm bringing so far, please add to it.-Binder full of different things such as descriptions on plants and etc that I can eat or use, animals and how to hunt specific animals, and etc also includes directions, maps, a notebook, an inventory chart to keep track and some other things too.-a hatchet-knife-pot for boiling water or cooking other food-a bag of rice-a bag of dried meat-a backpack-twine-canteen-a cooler with no ice just to keep the temp of things a little more steady-two boxes of matches and a flint and steel set in case-a sleeping bagPlease feel free to add to the listThere isn't very much food because I plan on trapping and finding most of my foodI have done something similar to this just not as intenseThanks!
- That sounds like a lot of funBeing surrounded by the wilderness and nature away from civilizations and all it's crazy noisesAs a Boy Scout in my early years, and on camping trips.I'd always make sure to bring the followings: -Bugs spray (keeps ticks and mosquitos away) -Aluminum foil paper (the new pocket types are even better for cooking vegetables such as wild mushrooms, fish, crayfish, and other meats) We used to wrap chopped vegetables and meat together using a few pieces and just throw it over the charcoals (not the flame) of the fire, and after it was done, we'd seasoned it w/ a little bit of salt and black pepper and enjoyed it.mmmm-compass and mirror (most have the mirror on the back side) -net w/ small holes wide enough to cover face, but small enough to keep bugs from biting while sleeping-I have a Swiss multi-purpose plier w/ spoon and fork attachments-the most useful tools ever invented for outdoor people-rope (long enough to tie your food in a bag and throw over a tree branch, and suspend it in the air so bears, racoons, and other night critters can't reach it while you're fast asleep or away from the camp site) -sea salt (preserve meat and for seasoning purposes) That's pretty much it.other than that, you have already lists most of the essentials required for a 3 week camping tripHave a great time! I'll be on a week camping trip in about another 3 weeks.only with tents thoughYou're a whole lot tougher to go on one w/o tents.
