Q: I recently purchased a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle and I found that the plastic tube above the fuel tank is cracked. I know that it is some sort of vapor trapping device, but i cannot find a replacement
Try duct tape. Seriously. Same thing happened to me on my 73 and it works.
Q: I have a 16 month old girl who has her first ear infection now. She has it in both ears and still has it even after her medicine was done. We have an appointment with an ear, nose and throat specialist for this Thursday, and I will be asking him the following questions.. But I also wanted to hear from people that went through this with their child. I understand that ear tubes probably won't be necessary because this is her first time with an ear infection. What exactly are ear tubes? How are they put in? What are the pros and cons of having them? I have heard that in the long run, they can cause more damage than good. And how did you soothe your little one while they were having difficulty sleeping at night? Thanks!!
I have 4 children, 2 of mine had ear infections at least 6 times before age 2yrs and never got tubes in their ears. There are certain things that contribute to ear infections. Does your daughter drink fluids when laying down? If she has to go to bed with a cup you will want to prop her mattress up using pillows or a comforter. Just enough so she isn't laying flat, but not trying to sleep sitting up either. Does she take in a lot of Dairy products? You can try soy milk instead of cows milk. Veggie cheese instead of dairy cheese. Organic yogurt instead of dairy. These can be found more affordable at your local farmers market. Wal-mart and grocery stores tend to be a little more expensive. Also, when you wash her hair you can try putting cotton balls in her ears, just don't push them deep inside so you will be able to get them back out easily. Prevention is where I think you will benefit from your line of questioning for the doctor! More than likely they will give you some drops to put in her ears since the anti-biotic didn't cure the problem. Best of luck. Take care
Q: What is the maximum temperature plastic tubes can be exposed to without deforming?
The maximum temperature that plastic tubes can be exposed to without deforming depends on the specific type of plastic used. Different plastics have varying melting points and thermal stabilities. Therefore, it is important to consult the manufacturer's guidelines or material data sheets to determine the maximum temperature limit for a particular plastic tube.
Q: How do you prevent plastic tubes from deteriorating?
To prevent plastic tubes from deteriorating, it is important to store them in a cool and dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Regular cleaning and maintenance should also be performed to remove any residue or contaminants that can weaken the material. Additionally, using appropriate cleaning agents and avoiding harsh chemicals can help prolong the lifespan of plastic tubes.
Q: Can plastic tubes be reused?
Yes, plastic tubes can be reused depending on their condition and purpose. If they are clean and undamaged, they can be washed and used again for various applications such as packaging, storage, or transportation. However, it is important to consider the type of plastic and any specific regulations or guidelines for reuse to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Q: my hamster is stuck in his tube i dont know how to get him out!
ok so get a hammer if its one of those hard plastic tubes, and then smash an end wear the hamster is not near so u dont hurt him and then once it breacks, you can make the crack go all the way to the other side and then you can take the tube inhalf and out comes ur hamsteR:] also you can try putting some olive oil around him and try pushing him out with something, dont worry, hamsters are always getting cought i n tight places, thats what their boddy is for
Q: I have a little bit of a project. I'm trying to figure a way to cool a pair of water filled tubing lines. I was thinking to wrap it with some type of cooling device but not quite sure what to use. Can you guys give me some ideas? I want to cool the lines as cool as refrigerator temps. Thanks.
You have not said how much heat you need to disperse - whether it needs to be a continuous process or not. You have not mentioned whether the lines are flexible or what length they are! However, without making things too complicated, if you use a longish length of plastic tubing, you could coil them and run them through a bucket full of an ice/salt/water mixture. Depending on how fast the water is moving through the tubes, if you had a strong mixture of salt and ice - with just enough water in the bucket to allow conduction - you might be able to freeze the water in the tubes - which is probably NOT what you want to do. So experiment before the performance.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to extreme temperatures?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to extreme temperatures.
Q: While changing the toilet paper my daughter accidentally flushed down the toilet the inner rod that goes through the cardboard tube to keep the roll in the holder. Unfortunately it’s large enough to cause a blockage so I need to get it out. It’s also made of hollow plastic, and will float – so the fact that I can’t see it means it is at least on the other side of the U-bend. A wire hook won’t help, there’s nothing to hook on to. How can I get it out?
Take the whole toilet off the floor and turn it upside down. OR .............raise your arm above your head, shake your hand from side to side, and wave good bye !!
Q: I had pains in my vagina, so my Dr. had to see if there were any lumps that were causing the pain. He had to stick this tube thing up my vagina to look inside. It hurted really bad. My hymen isn't there anymore, so I was wondering if I was still a virgin?
Yes, troll. Virginity is taken through the act of copulation, not fictitious medical examinations.
