- Q:Home theater system is not sending audio signal to one speaker. The speaker itself is fine, I tested it. How can I fix the problem; check for output from the individual connection?
- It's either the speaker, the cable, or the amp/receiver. You have to isolate the problem by eliminating each thing one at a time. Connect one of the other speakers (that you know works) to the output that goes to that speaker. If it works, then it's the cable of the first speaker. If it doesn't, then it's the amp/receiver. At that point, you have two choices: Either get the amp repaired, or buy a new one.

- 6x9 speakers arent the best for bass and so 1980's. I didn't even realize they still made them. Save yourself the hassle and get some regular subwoofers and component speakers, it will be worth the extra $$$.

- May 3.5 mm earphone connectors nowadays have 3 wires 1 is the ground and the other 2 atre the left and right channel for the speakersspeakers so what you need to do it connect both speaker grounds to the earphone ground and then the left speaker gets the left wire and then the right one gets the right. This will let you connect the speakers to the computer BUT!!!! most pc sound system s are low signal, meaning they don;t have power to drive speakers over 8ohm better yet would be to make or purchase a cable with the earphone on one end and the rca type plugs on it on the other this would let you connect the pc to the AUX or phono port on a stereo , do that and you got full stereo sound from what ever is playing on the pc, games , music, videos, ect

- It means the horn on the speaker with only bass sounds is blown. The horn itself is ok but what is blow is called the compression driver - it is the part attached to the horn inside the speaker. Getting the replacement driver is the hard part - you will need to try the Peavey website.

- Polk Audio DB651s Slim-Mount 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair) fit sound great in the front and rear deck. With my Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693 they have less bass then the stock speakers but there is enough to balance the sound perfectly. I would rather leave the bass to my subwoofers anyway. I'm running these speaker only off the headunit (no amp) and they are a little louder then the stock speakers but they are MUCH clearer and can go up A LOT louder without distortion then the stock speakers.

- bose car speakers are nothing special. bose gets its sound from sound processing eq's in the headunit, not from high quality speakers. a $20 set of aftermarket speakers will sound better than bose speakers. also, in some cases bose speakers have crazy ohm ratings. i have seen bose speakers with ohm ratings from .5 ohms to 24 ohms. so they may not be compatible with your amplifier.
