FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: I am installing commercial tile and I have no idea what tool is used to cut this kind of tile, it easily breaks if its bent too hard. I need to cut curved areas on this tile and I have no idea what too to use. Please help! ;)
With all due respect, and a bunch of years in this; I WOULDN'T One thing I notice however; is that you don't state an intent for the tiles; or a reason to implant hooks. That might help us in answering. EXAMPLE: A shower stall tile addition. A dremel might be as decent as a concrete bit; but a tedious task in any case. Tile is essentially GLASS. Hopefully you have extras in case of any OOOPS? Then there is the question of how YOU define SMALL? More info by request. Steven Wolf
Q: I have a very outdated bathroom with pink tile covering just about every wall. I love to do DIY projects but can‘t afford to replace the tile. I can however afford to paint it. I read up on it and found the paint directions but don‘t want the end result to look tacky. Has anyone done this and liked the results?
Go for it! It won't look tacky if the instructions are followed. Be sure to very thoroughly clean the tile with a cleaner made for tile and grout, and use a scrub brush to scrub the tile and the grout lines well. If you plan to also paint the grout, you must let the grout dry for at least 48 hours. The longest lasting paint for this application, and one that with withstand peeling the longest, is oil-based paint. The cleanup process for oil-based paint could be a drawback, but for a long lasting finish it is the way to go. If you don't want to go with oil-based, water-based paints that contain a urethane resin are good paints to use as well. I would strongly recommend not painting the tile on the walls of the tub/shower, as the finish will not last due to the moisture and humidity in the shower. For this area, you can use a tile epoxy paint (usually available in white and creme color) and it will look good and protect the tile from the water. If going this route, be sure to ventilate the area as best as you can as the fumes are strong...but they will go away after 1-2 days. You can do this project, and it will look good. Best of luck!
Q: I am making a movie for school and i need to hang things from our ceiling to the ground. The problem is is that the ceiling is an acoustic tile and i‘m not sure if it will hold enough. (This is one of the older acoustic tiles with all of the holes in them.
Been there, done that... Can't happen. What you can do, however, is go to the hardware store and buy new ones OR if replacing them is out of the question, get a can of KILZ paint primer. It is the best stain blocker on the planet. Once you cover it with Kilz, it WILL still show through the Kilz, itself, but once you have one or two coats of regular pain over it, you will never see the blood again.
Q: I want to know if it‘s necessary to use any special underlayment, or any additional steps required to successfully lay ceramic tile over a wood plank floor. Thanks!
Not directly. There are products out there like Tavy Thinskin that say you can do this by applying the Tavy membrane first and then setting tile, but I've seen installations like this fail far too often. Plank floors move too much for an installation like this. They will inevitably crack the tile or the grout. If this is a plank subfloor then you are best to put down 1/4 durock concrete board before tiling. If it's less than about an inch thick, you should lay a sheet of exterior grade plywood and apply a Ditra membrane before laying tile. Concrete board adds no structural value so you need to make sure your subfloor is stiff enough to avoid flexing and causing cracks. If this is an actual finished hardwood floor, it really needs to be ripped out and proper subfloor for tile installed like I laid it out in the last section. There is another easier option but it can get expensive. There is a product out now that is basically a porcelain tile mounted on a plastic grid. You click the grid (and tile) together just like installing a laminate floor and then grout the joints with a flexible urethane gout. This allows the whole installation to float without any actual connection to the floor below. This newer system is greatly improved over the older systems where a tile was mounted on an actual laminate backer board. We had the opportunity to bring the product into our store, but we passed on it due to cost. I'd have to sell it for $8-$10 / SF. The grout isn't cheap either.
Q: tile itself
if it's ceramic/porcelain, go to home depot. Rent a hilti jackhammer with 2 different bits (they'll know which ones to give you). one is a narrow chisel that pops the tiles up. the other is a wide blade that will remove thinset. sometimes the wide blade works good for removing the tile, also. whichever works best for YOU. They will explain how to use it. It is WAY easy to use and you will NOT regret it! You will want to plastic off areas that you are not removing tile completely, there will be dust. good luck! don't be cheap and buy the handscraper! you'll hate yourself.
Q: Staining and grout removal aside, are there other disadvantages to using natural stone tile for bathtubs?
Using natural stone in the bath tub is not that advisable. removal of grout and stain is not a problem if the granite is well polished you know. I want to tell about one issue only which I have seen many places. You know if you compare with ceramic tiles, the natural stone is a porous material, I mean there are many invisible holes on it. The effect is that stones will absorb water and it will spread into the foor and it wil make problem if your bath is in the first floor or above. See the problem if you are on a floor above the ground floor, you will see water dripping from the bottom area of the tub. In this case, if you are particular in going with natural stone, you can make it somewhere out side the building with separate foundation.
Q: The tile I want to clean was built with the house back in the early 1900‘s but still in very good condition what would be the best way to clean that because its very dirty, and i think its porcealin. The second set of tile looks like it was put in back in the seventies but doesn‘t match the original tile at all, what would be the best way to change the color other than replacing it. Could i use pray paint?
Do not use LimeAway! This product is an acid that will etch the glazing on the surface of the tile. This result is not repairable. The most safe and effective way to clean dirty tile and grout is to use a cleaner specifically designed for this use. Check a local floorcovering store, especially if there's one in your area that specialized in tile. Look for a heavy duty tile and grout cleaner, there should be several options available. Any kind of paint that I'm aware of is not a viable long term option. Paint will fail to penetrate the glaze of the tile, and therefore will be subject to wear fairly quickly.
Q: Which is good for acid resistant tiles
Hao Ran acid brick brick structure is compact, water absorption is small, can withstand any concentration of acid and alkaline media, with excellent anti-corrosion effect.
Q: How to look at the quality of tiles
Ordinary people to buy tiles bad identification of two local brick surface and brick quality. Is also the most easily identified. (Not to listen, this is very interesting, the first hit objects can not be measured, the second voice can not be measured, this is not the way most people can use, but also has been said that the errors, but also has been used, This is a professional. Only professional workers to identify.) Most people asked is affixed to the kitchen, bathroom wall, almost all with plywood for paving. Identify the surface of the tiles, only need to take two pieces of the same brick surface together, the gap can not see the better. The porcelain surface has no holes in the surface. (High flatness, posted on the wall will not be uneven) the quality of the tiles, the hand to feel the same type of brick with the heavier the better. If you do not feel it, then try density, pour in the back of the tile, the more the better water seepage. (Kitchen, bathroom, hot summer heat, these factors directly affect the tile will crack, the higher the quality of the more difficult to appear.
