Q: Anyone know if that type of ceiling tile has asbestos? Unsure of the year built. It has a texture to it which is why I‘m worried about it.: No. That looks like just ordinary lay in ceiling tile. Texture is not really and indication of asbestos. Lots of things have texture that are not asbestos.

Stick your finger in that glue and wait for it to dry, You will be able to peel it off and almost have the same shape of your finger! Pretty cool but not good for tile installation! What kind of tiles are they? Ceramic or stone? You should be using thinset to install the tile! VCT tile? you should be using VCT contact cement/glue! Remove the tiles, Peel any Glue off the tile and floor (should be very easy to do) and use the proper adhesive for the tile you have!

Lay tool against wall in line with chalk line. Start blade, slowly, then lower blade to line. Now tilt blade inward. CAUTION. Go only as deep as needed to penetrate wall. If you go deeper, you risk cutting wires or plumbing. Now pull saw along line around perimiter of room. Safety glasses are recommended during cuttiing and removal. Use hammer to make hole in wall just below cut line. Using Gloves, pull sections of drywall and tile by hand as much as possible. If screws remain in the studs hit with a hammer at a 45% angle. they should break off. If it's nails, you should pull them. Floor tiles will come up with a flat pry bar and a hammer. Just pick a spot along an edge. Use a couple sharp blows with hammer to start, then use flat bar and hammer to peel out floor tile and grout. Hope this motivates you to go for it.
