Q: I have some cracked squares in my kitchen.It is caused from the subfloor coming up in one section.What is the best way to remove old tiles and screw floor back down to and replace with extras that I have.I have the glue left over also to use on them.I know my husband had hard time getting them up once before.Tired of waiting for hubby to do it.Any easy ways for me to get tile up.: if it's self stick try using a hair dryer to warm the tile up and get a scraper under a corner and pull up . if you glued it just grab a stong scraper and go to town .i don't think there is an easy way

Q: just had a tile floor laid and i noticed some were higher than the one next to it in about 6 tiles. my husband says every house will have those. does yours?: Having the tiles uneven on a new installation is not right. Couple reasons to cause this and should have been caught by the installer.They are more than likely not loose but since they are uneven, your more than likely to chip the edges over time. Q: I accidently kicked in one of the tiles near the knobs on the bottom front of the shower. the tile is caved in and loose so i took it out and noticed the blue board behind it. There is a blue board and 6 tiles on the board. the blue board is easily pushed back and has little support. the 6 tiles are loose too and if i press the tile, it will go back a little. I think the blue board provided little support for the tiles and the tile cave in would of happened eventually anyway. either that or it was completely my fault because i caved in one of the tiles which made all of the other tiles loose?? I think the blueboard had little support and it wasn‘t completely my fault. should i fight my landlord on this?i just met with her and sat through a lecture with her accusing me of everything, from having parties trashing the apartment to the slightly black grout near the tub so im kind of worked up over this.: If you hadn't kicked it then it would still be as it was you have no excuse you have to curb your temper you have to respect other peoples property

Q: how do you clean up ceramic tiles? they dont seem to shine but look very dull whenever i clean it with water and soap. is there a product i can use to clean them and at the same time leave them shining?: sure hun-there're 2 products i'd recommend for this job: Tilex for soap scum and other residues in a shower .Works on bath tub surface as well.Or in case of a heavy old deposits-use comet powder first,applied with two sided sponge and then rinse off and spray with Windex and finish by wiping with a dry cotton cloth. your tiles will shine as well as your bath tub or shower floor. :)
