FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:I want to install vinyl over a tile floor. What procedures should I take? What adhesive? What prep on the ceramic?
Not a good idea, the vinyl will conform to the shape of the floor underneath and the indents of the grout lines will show through. If they are the small 1 inch by 1 inch tiles you can buy a product called floor leveler and put it over the tiles to create a smooth surface. It is a powder that mixes with water to create a plaster type mix. Ok for a small ie bathroom floor, huge job on a kitchen floor. The key to success is always in the prep. Make sure the underneath floor is very smooth before trying to put down vinyl. Another method would be to glue shower/tile backer board over the tile. This comes in quarter inch thickness and can be glued down using thin-set mortar, but with the new vinyl you will be raising the floor level by almost a half inch. This may mean that you have to trim doors from the bottom. It is not an impossible task and will be worth it if you really hate the tile. Keep in mind that if you use this method in a bathroom that the toilet will have to be removed and an adapter placed on the flange to make up for the height difference. If you own the house, I would remove the tile, if you rent, I would reconsider and probably use scatter rugs. If you are still going to do it, make a paper pattern or buy a pattern kit at the big box store. Vinyl does not necessarily need to be glued down, but gluing the edges will generally keep them from curling up. Good luck, there is a great deal of self satifaction in improving the look of a room and making it you.
Q:I had new stone tile laid in my bathroom. 18 x 18 pieces, diagonally laid. One piece by the edge must have been stepped on by one of the tile layers as they were leaving and it got pushed down, so it‘s not level with the rest of the tiles by a small fraction. Its not noticeable if you walk on it with shoes, but if you walk on it barefoot or if you get down and feel it with your hands, there is clearly a noticeable difference. The flooring company refuses to come back and fix it claiming I did it. The piece is on the edge butting up against carpet from the bedroom. Is there any way I can make this tile level myself to avoid the hassle of trying to sue or file complaints against the flooring company? Maybe cut out that one piece without damaging and just put a new layer of the cement underneath it? I don‘t know. I‘ve never done tiling before.
you can pick up a small tile saw at any tile /flooring outlet.it has a serrated edge for cutting into the grout that is around the tile.once you have removed the grout you should be abel to insert a wide blade putty knife under the tile and tap it in easy to loosen the tile once it is free clean the area of any adhesive and reset the tile.it is a shame that the co who did the install refused to come back and do the repair.if i were you i would file a complaint with the better business bureau in your area.good luck
Q:dont know how much to charge to install tile backsplash on kitchen wall with 100sq/ft, please let me know am new and started in this business??
with backsplashes, you cannot charge a sq ft price. They are time consuming and usually have lots of detail. 100 sf seems like a lot for a backsplash. Generally, they are in the 20-40 sf range. I am in eastern USA. I have a flat minimum of $ 450. But as the detail increases, so should the price because it will take you much longer.
Q:I went to the Home Depot website and for instance, baking stones are like $25 each. I heard that some flooring tiles do the same job, though some of the types (like terracota) can expel some poisonous gases when heated; also, that I should avoid enameled tiles or anything with coating.Should I get a baking stone instead?Thank you.
Quarry tiles are genreally considered safe to bake on. The concern is with glazed tiles which may contain and may release lead in your oven - not a good thing! Unglazed quarry tiles are thick and are made of fired clay, basically as it comes from the ground. Thus it has other things in it besides clay. Ceramic tiles are generally thinner and but stronger. This is because they are made from refined clay in a powdered form. The end result is a more uniform tile, thus it is stronger.
Q:I am looking for an obsolete 8X8 ceramic tile I believe was made by Interceramic. It‘s described on my original sales slip from 1999 as IC WestPalm Surf It‘s solid white in color and has a slight pebble texture. I need to modify my kitchen some and don‘t want to tear up the entire floor to install new type tile. Any ideas how to find this tile if there‘s any left out there.
IC did away with the 8x8 tile about 8 to 10 years ago .. They revamped there line to a 10 and 13 inch tile..10 didn t last long at all..Soon the did away with most all the red bodied tile.. So please don t even bother trying.. You will have to do something else , like a border and or accents. There were reclamation places that bought up old lots of tile but none that I know about now.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar.. GL
Q:I have a rental that currently has sheet vinyl in the kitchen that is in bad shape. I am considering putting in self adhesive floor tiles over the vinyl. I have installed similar flooring in a bathroom but used inexpensive tiles. It looked good, but the tiles tended to slide. I‘m thinking it was because I used bargain tiles rather than better quality.I just need comments as to longevity and problems you might have encoutered with self adhesive tiles. Also, do you have any particular brand or type you recommend?
I have used them for over 10 yrs now with NO PROBLEMS. Maybe your not taking the time to prep your floor and we all know the prep is very important. I personally would take that vinyl out and lay on your sub floor. As in any product if you take the time to read and follow their directions you'll be fine. I not only use this type of tile in my own home but clients too. I ripped out a nice ceramic tile in a doctors house and put this tile in its place, 2 baths and it's been 3 yrs now and no problems. good luck.
Q:does anyone know what the most affordable nice tile flooring is? i was watching a tv show that was using slate for less than a dollar a sq ft. i cant seem to find that anywhere.. but im re-doing my kitchen and would love suggestions! no laminate or wood im really aiming for tile. thanks!
If you happen to have a Habitat for Humanity Restore near you, they (or at least the one near me) usually have lots of unused tile that you can buy for a low price. Just an idea.
Q:would it be to hard for me to do by myself and is there an adhesive that I put under the tile?
The okorder for eco-friendly home decor products and tips!
Q:i was pouring grout on my tile floor and it dryed too fast. how can i get rid of it?
forget the scrubbing except you're extremely into it. flow to Lowes or domicile Depot, spend the money and placed money right into a Shark steam air purifier. I genuinely have wiped sparkling each and every of the grout between the tile flooring decrease back to their unique colour in under an hour. The steam dissolves the airborne dirt and dust and pushes up onto the tile and you purely wipe away. the toughest ingredient to do is stand there and factor the steam nozzle. you will locate many different makes use of for the steam air purifier around the domicile additionally. It cleans indoors and out. My acquaintances are all testing my air purifier and then procuring their very own. Seal the grout when you get it wiped sparkling.
Q:I found answers about laying tile and a backer board over linoleum I didn‘t know if they would be the same. What would cause tile to crack if it‘s places directly on concrete?
Go to a Tile Store. They now have Ceramic Tile which can be put on top of other flooring as long as the floor is level. Some of these Tiles can be snapped together. No Mud, no Grout. They look wonderful.
