FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:Do you fill up the grout all the way to the top or only upto inner edge? We filled it up to the inner edge, but now the grout and the tile edges are starting to collect dirt very easily and it is very hard to clean. We are thinking of regrouting all the way to the top so that it will be easier to clean. Is that the correct way to grout these tiles?
Most all tiles ( there are exceptions) are always grouted flush to avoid a couple of things. One is the problem your having now and the other is to protect the edging of the tile.depending on just how much more you have to fill in, you make have to dig some grout out to get a proper bond.. Any questions you can e mail me thru my avatar and check my qualifications there GL
Q:I‘m assisting my friend with a property renovation and I need to know with tiles to buy. Can you guys help me out?
I trust you're talking about flooring for a retail situation. Any decent floor tile works fine, I'd suggest something with a rough texture, for safety in case of wet situations -- spills, rain being tracked in, etc. Outlet stores can be found which offer excellent value, but limited selection -- retail finish out usually is heavily price driven, so look for bargains. Large tile for large spaces, smaller but not too small for smaller spaces. If you buy 2 different sizes (must be same thickness), you can easily make a pinwheel pattern by placing a big tile on the floor then putting small tiles around the 4 corners, and set big tile into the created corners (play with them a bit, and you'll figure it out). If you use a pinwheel, calculate the number of each tile needed by figuring the ratio of sizes. You'll need an equal number of pieces each size, allow 1/8 to 1/4 inch mortar joints, and remember grout costs more per sq ft than tile, and larger joints require more cleaning. Use darkish grout to minimize cleaning issues.
Q:Also, formica or tile for a countertop???
either is fine, unless you bowl in your kitchen ceramic will hold up fine for normal wear and tear, the counter top is your choice, wich look do you like, im personally a tile person.
Q:This is a new house and they put 16 inch tiles in the bathrooms, which I don't care for. The floors are fine as far as leveling goes, but I would like to put 12 inch tiles directly over the 16 inch ones. Would there be any problems?
A side from raising the floor up and you looking at how it will come out at the doorway ( only you can judge that), you can do this just fine if done properly. Tile thats down now , make sure it is down secure. It probably is but with a new house time hasn t gone by long enough to see signs that tell you its down tight. Should you do this and its perfectly fine , you ll need to do just a few things special. Don t get the regular enhanced thin set go at least a step up. Pricing will help you dictate this. Floor must be clean and dry. As you go over it use the flat side of the trowel to coat over it all , this will fill in the grout joints , if its a bit low. Then use your 1/4 x3/8 ths trowels to spread thin set. Let set an extra day or 2 before walking on it since the thinset needs extra drying time in this situation. Q:hi, we need to put tiles for a room of size 10x16 fts . we will be using 2x2 ft vitrified tiles. I want to know how many tiles are required and how the cost of tile is defined in shop. (price is for 1 piece or 1 sq feet ?)
10x16=160/(2x2)=160/4=40 tile you have 160 sq ft if they price it that way you need 40 tile if they price it that way If the tile come in 12 per box then divide 40 by 12 = 3.4 boxes which they most likely will make you buy 4 boxes (extra in case you break a couple. While doing the job, make sure you mix the tile out of the boxes so if there is a difference in color your floor will not show a change in color but will have the colors mixed across the floor..... Have fun
Q:Imloking to buyy subway tile for my bathroom demo. any ideas where I can get it for a discount/
www.okorder . Go there, go to your city, do a search of subway tile or go to the materials, household, or furniture sections. We are using craigslist to redo our bathroom!! Have fun!
Q:if there are 24 square tiles in a box and there are enough to cover 3 square feet, how big are the tiles?
24 tiles/3 sq ft =8 tiles per square foot. Since 8 is not a square, there is no solution, or the tiles cannot be square.
Q:I bought 12 x 12 ceramic tile from Lowe‘s branded as SURFACE SOURCE with a PEI rating 4. I bought each tile for $0.58 each. I want to use the tile for the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and living room. The tile was made in Mexico. I think the tile was being discontinued at Lowe‘s. Thus, I think that is why the price was so low. Did I make a mistake? The tile looks good and feels good so I do not see a problem with. I need an honest opinion.
First of all I hope you bought all they had, and had them check other stores. Certainly it's not unusual for a tile selection to go out of production. OPEN STOCK doesn't promise forever. The rating # refers to durability; YOURS being quite high. 58 cents is fair. With no offense at all to Mexico; most of OUR tile is created there. Italy is another source but I think number 3 on the list. Steven Wolf miles and miles of tile
Q:I am looking for some shiny gold 1 in tiles i need about 50-60 can anybody help me out. I would prefer ceramic cause they are gonna be used in a floor but ill take suggestions too.
check out a tile outlet store, id give a few names but i dont know if i'm allowed ,, also id think about going with porcelain tiles,,just for the fact that if 1 happens to chip,, the color is set the same the hole way through the tile, instead of just on the top, then u dont have to replace it
Q:I am trying to decide between installing hardwood or tile floors in my kitchen remodel. Any thoughts on pros and cons of each? Thanks.
Ceramic tile. It will take the traffic better, wood is prone to water damage Tile cleans much easier than wood and will take moppings where wood you should never mop( water can damage it). Grout, when you seal it,cleans easy. Wood looks great other places and add value to a house ( ceramic does to) but not in a high traffic water prone area such as the kitchen. Much more maintenance than ceramic. Wood will cost a bit less butt ceramic will installed properly will last a life time with out having to be refinished.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
