  Glazed Tile CMAX-BR653

Q: I am wondering which tile will be easier to clean, polished or non polished? My hub and I are remodeling the bathroom and we are in the stage of deciding of tiles for the shower wall and bathroom floor.
I will say polished, less pourous.=)
Q: is tiled floor the best flooring for people with pets?
I have to agree with Warren. Tile is fine for pets, but cold if not heated. Allure TrafficMaster vinyl planking is a heavy floating floor that is tough too. I would not say tile is the best...depends on the tile type (some are quite slippery and will show scratches). Trimming pet nails will help, but when cats and/or dogs want to tear and play or chase, they will scratch flooring as they cannot get the traction they require. Be realistic. My animals all have their nails trimmed regularly and have lots of scratches and marks in my floors from them..it is just part of living in a home with pets.
Q: We have tiled around our jetted tub about halfway up the wall and the top and around the edges does not look finished. Do we add trim there or something else?
We finished off our tile with quarter round tile. We used the same color as our wall tile but with a slightly duller finish. My point is you can use a coordinating color or finish if quarter round is not available for your exact tile.
Q: Having done some work in the bathroom we would like to reuse some of the tiles we took of which arent broken, does anybody have any suggestions as to how we remove the adhesive and grout so that they can be reused?
Are you speaking strictly of Adhesive? Perhaps on the face? OR Tile Mortar still attached to the back of the tile? Adhesive would be removable with products like GOOF OFF or other such designed for the purpose. Mortar removal cannot be accomplished by any means so far offered. Rev. Steven
Q: I am making a unglazed ceramic tile-mosaic table and I know I have to seal the tiles as well as grout and then seal the grout. Can I use a tile-sealer as a grout sealer? Or do I have two use two different products?
Sealers for ceramic or porcelain are useless. These materials are non porous. The best advice I can give you is to use a dark color grout. What the guy above said is right.
Q: What kind of ceramic tile?
Features: This is a kind of high temperature firing ceramic tile, is the hardest of all the tiles. Sometimes polished tiles are scratched when the tiles are still safe and sound. Mosaic: Mosaic is a special way of the existence of brick, it is generally composed of dozens of small pieces of brick to form a relatively large brick. Acid, alkali, wear, no water, strong pressure, not broken. Categories It is mainly divided into ceramic mosaic, marble mosaic, glass mosaic. Scope It is small and colorful, colorful is widely used in indoor small area, wall and outdoor walls and the ground. Features Specifications, thin and small, hard texture, acid, alkali, wear, no water, strong pressure, not broken, colorful and versatile.
Q: I installed tile couple of days ago in my shower. I was wondering isn't it better to put bathroom caulking instead of grout since it is flexible and it will last longer and provide better water resistance. Does grout make tile stronger or is caulking only applied on edges? Would I make mistake if I used bathroom caulking between tiles? Thanks
Grout is a hard material that stablizes the tile and is more appropriate when the tiles are going to be walked on, sat on or worked on (as in a counter) Caulk is a soft material that water seals cracks and has little or no wear endurance. In theory, you use grout on shower to make it match the appearance of tiles elsewhere in the room, but these days, that is often the only place tiles are used.
Q: The bathroom tile in my recently purchased house isn‘t finished. The previous owner used floor tile to surround the tub; he/she left many pieces of tile unfinished, but luckily left us a stack of the tiles so we could finish it off. However, we don‘t have an unlimited supply of these tiles, so we‘d like to get it right with as few tries as possible!I‘m wondering: -I need to fit the tub faucet and knobs within two 12 square tiles. What‘s the best way to measure the placement of the fixtures? Is it possible to make some sort of template that I could transfer to the tiles? -Can I make the cuts for the fixtures using a hacksaw-type tile saw blade, or should I buy a tile drill bit? (I realize it rather depends on where the fixtures fall within the tile-- but if I don‘t need to buy both, I won‘t waste my money. )Thanks!
I'll try to answer this in layman's terms as best i can.. Take one tile and hold it exactly square with the tile just above the faucet Knob. Take another tile and put the edge of it dead center in the middle of the faucet knob(this will take another person to lend a helping hand obviously). The other edge of the piece of tile you are holding on the center of the faucet knob will come to exactly where you want to put the center bit of the tile hole cutter so mark that with your pencil take the piece your holding square on the tile above the faucet knob down and cut your hole using a tile hole saw bit that is slightly larger in diameter than the faucet knob.. Sorry if this sounds complicating but i think once you start doing it you'll see how easy it is.. Good luck..
Q: Tao Shiya tile how, the quality of how?
No matter what kind of tiles, its quality identification is nothing more than wear resistance, water absorption, hardness, color, size and other standards, so you can use the following method to determine its quality. Glazed tiles: with rubber hammer or fingers gently tapping the various positions of glazed tiles, such as the same sound, that there is no sandwich; if the sound is different, the internal may be mezzanine, unqualified. Polished tiles: the same quality of polished tiles, from the side to see the relatively thin brick quality, and good quality polishing polished brightness is relatively high. Whole body bricks: weigh the weight of the brick, the same size of the brick, the weight is better than the light. Good quality brick surface fine, smooth. Ultra-fine powder tiles; ultra-fine powder brick is a new series of tiles. Its distinctive feature is that each piece of pattern is different, but the whole is very coordinated, natural. There is a kind of imitation microfine brick on the market, rough look like a small powder brick, but careful observation will find that it is almost the same pattern every piece. Antique tiles: with nails on the surface of the brick draw, good quality brick will not leave traces. In general, the quality of the antique brick is better quality. Listen to the sound: hand tapping the tiles, if the sound crisp, sweet, then that ceramic porcelain high degree of porcelain, good quality; if the sound boring, cloud turbidity, it shows that the sintering degree is not enough, poor texture. In general, the slower the water, indicating that the greater the density of the floor tile, the better the quality; the other hand, the faster the water, indicating that the floor of the small density, the quality of the tiles on the back of the tiles, watching the water spread after the speed, Poor.
Q: Classification of ceramic tiles
4, antique brick: not China's ceramic industry's products, is introduced from abroad. Antique tiles are evolved from glazed tiles, essentially glazed porcelain tiles. Compared with ordinary glazed tiles, the difference is mainly reflected in the color of the glaze above, antique tiles are ordinary tiles, and the disk is basically the same, the so-called antique, refers to the effect of brick, antique effect should be called tiles, Antique brick is not easy to clean. The only difference is in the firing process, the antique brick technical requirements are relatively high, thousands of tons of hydraulic press after pressing, and then by thousands of high temperature sintering, to its high strength, with a strong wear resistance, carefully developed Antique tiles both waterproof, non-slip, corrosion-resistant features. Antique brick imitation of the past style to do the old, with a unique charm with classical people to attract people's eyes, to reflect the vicissitudes of life, the history of heavy, antique brick through the style, color, pattern, to create a nostalgic atmosphere. 5, ceramic tiles: also known as mosaic, specifications, thin and small, hard texture, acid, alkali, wear, no water, strong pressure, not broken, colorful and versatile. 6, quintana brick: This is a glazed porcelain tiles, a very good anti-skid and wear resistance. Generally speaking, "anti-skid tiles" are mostly quintana bricks. As this kind of brick price is moderate, popular consumer favorite.
