2.Production Flow about stainless steel sheet

Raw materials are sending to hot rolling units for rolling into different sizes

Hot rolled material is annealing in cold; rolled annealing furnace and pickling in acid.

All mill rolls are grinded on precision grinding machine with proper chamfering after first shiftoperation.

All sheets are pickled in different tanks and dried on brush roll machine before dispatched.

These sheets are again annealing and are sent to straighten machine for straightening.

Inspections are done at various stages. Keep proper control overall internal process via rolling, annealin and pickling by our experienced staff.

Q: How do you prevent discoloration on stainless steel sheets?
To prevent discoloration on stainless steel sheets, it is essential to avoid exposure to corrosive substances, such as salt, bleach, and strong acids. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water, followed by thorough drying, can help maintain the stainless steel's appearance. Additionally, applying a protective coating or using specialized cleaning products made for stainless steel can provide an extra layer of defense against discoloration.
Q: Are stainless steel sheets heat resistant?
Yes, stainless steel sheets are heat resistant. They are able to withstand high temperatures without warping, melting, or losing their structural integrity.
Q: What are the different surface finishes available for stainless steel sheets?
There are several different surface finishes available for stainless steel sheets, each offering unique characteristics and aesthetics. 1. No.1 Finish: This is the most common and widely used finish for stainless steel sheets. It has a rough, dull appearance with visible grain lines. No.1 finish is obtained by hot rolling the stainless steel and is suitable for applications where a rough finish is acceptable. 2. No.2B Finish: This finish is obtained by cold rolling the stainless steel and then annealing it, resulting in a smooth, reflective surface with a slightly dull appearance. It is commonly used for kitchen appliances, architectural accents, and decorative purposes. 3. No.2D Finish: Similar to No.2B finish, No.2D finish is achieved by cold rolling and annealing the stainless steel. However, it has a smoother and shinier appearance, making it suitable for applications requiring a more polished look. 4. No.3 Finish: Also known as a brushed finish, No.3 finish is achieved by polishing the stainless steel with abrasive belts or brushes. It has a unidirectional satin-like appearance, often used for decorative purposes in architecture and interior design. 5. No.4 Finish: This finish is obtained by polishing the stainless steel with finer abrasive belts or brushes than No.3 finish. It has a more refined and smoother appearance, often used for decorative purposes, such as elevator panels, kitchen equipment, and automotive trim. 6. No.8 Finish: Also known as a mirror finish, No.8 finish is achieved by polishing the stainless steel with progressively finer abrasive materials until a highly reflective surface is obtained. It provides a glossy, mirror-like appearance, ideal for architectural and decorative applications. 7. Hairline Finish: Hairline finish is achieved by mechanically polishing the stainless steel surface with a fine abrasive material. It creates a subtle, linear pattern with a matte appearance, commonly used for architectural accents, appliances, and decorative items. These are some of the most common surface finishes available for stainless steel sheets. The choice of finish depends on the desired aesthetics, functionality, and application requirements.
Q: What are the different types of stainless steel sheet perforations available?
There exists a variety of stainless steel sheet perforations, each possessing its own distinctive characteristics and applications. Among the most prevalent types are: 1. Round hole perforations: These perforations, characterized by evenly spaced round holes, are the simplest and most commonly employed. They ensure sufficient airflow and visibility. 2. Square hole perforations: Similar to their round counterparts, square hole perforations offer a distinct aesthetic and may be utilized for ventilation or decorative purposes. 3. Slotted perforations: Elongated in shape, slotted holes provide a larger open area compared to round or square holes. Consequently, they are often employed for drainage or filtering applications. 4. Hexagonal hole perforations: Hexagonal holes, featuring an exclusive pattern, are frequently used for architectural or decorative applications. They are also effective in facilitating airflow and visibility. 5. Decorative perforations: These perforations exhibit diverse shapes and designs, such as floral, geometric, or abstract patterns. Primarily employed for decorative purposes, they are commonly found in building facades or interior design. 6. Micro-perforations: These minute holes, typically less than 1mm in diameter, are utilized in applications necessitating high precision and fine filtration, like speaker grills or air diffusers. When selecting the appropriate perforation type, it is crucial to consider the specific requirements of your application. Factors such as open area, strength, visibility, and aesthetics must all be carefully evaluated to guarantee the most suitable choice for your specific needs.
Q: Can stainless steel sheets be used in food processing or medical applications?
Yes, stainless steel sheets can be used in food processing and medical applications. Stainless steel is a popular choice for such industries due to its excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and easy cleaning properties. It is resistant to chemical reactions, making it safe for contact with food and medical equipment. Stainless steel sheets are commonly used in food processing equipment, storage tanks, countertops, and surgical instruments. They meet the stringent hygiene standards required in the food and medical industries, making them a reliable and suitable material for such applications.
Q: Are stainless steel sheets suitable for architectural column covers or cladding?
Yes, stainless steel sheets are suitable for architectural column covers or cladding. Stainless steel is a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material, making it ideal for exterior applications such as column covers and cladding. It can withstand various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and UV exposure, without rusting or deteriorating. Stainless steel also offers a sleek and modern aesthetic, enhancing the overall appearance of the building. Additionally, stainless steel sheets can be easily fabricated and installed, providing flexibility in design and customization options for architects and designers. Overall, stainless steel sheets are an excellent choice for architectural column covers or cladding due to their durability, corrosion resistance, aesthetic appeal, and ease of installation.
Q: Can stainless steel sheets be used for elevator flooring?
Yes, stainless steel sheets can be used for elevator flooring. Stainless steel is a durable and corrosion-resistant material, making it suitable for high-traffic areas like elevator floors. Additionally, it provides a sleek and modern appearance, making it a popular choice for elevator interiors.
Q: Are stainless steel sheets resistant to alkalis?
Stainless steel sheets, in general, exhibit resistance towards alkalis. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is renowned, as it possesses a notable ability to withstand various chemicals, including alkalis. This resistance can be attributed to the inclusion of chromium in the alloy, which generates a shielding oxide layer on the surface of the stainless steel. Consequently, the material remains safeguarded from corrosion or harm caused by alkalis. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that the degree of resistance may differ based on the particular grade and composition of the stainless steel.
Q: What are the different types of stainless steel sheet finishes?
There are several types of stainless steel sheet finishes, including No. 1, 2B, No. 4, BA, and satin.
Q: What's the difference between stainless steel 304 2B board and Ba board?
BA 2B process is not the same, finished products are not the same. The BA plate is rolled with a work roll of roughness 0.006-0.008 and annealed in a vertical furnace. The surface is very mirror like;2B edge Miao made by using roughness of work rolls 0.2-0.28, commonly used in horizontal continuous annealing production, rough surface.
