2.Production Flow about stainless steel sheet

Raw materials are sending to hot rolling units for rolling into different sizes

Hot rolled material is annealing in cold; rolled annealing furnace and pickling in acid.

All mill rolls are grinded on precision grinding machine with proper chamfering after first shiftoperation.

All sheets are pickled in different tanks and dried on brush roll machine before dispatched.

These sheets are again annealing and are sent to straighten machine for straightening.

Inspections are done at various stages. Keep proper control overall internal process via rolling, annealin and pickling by our experienced staff.

Q: What are the common sizes of stainless steel sheets?
Common sizes of stainless steel sheets vary depending on the industry and application. However, there are some standard sizes that are readily available in the market. For instance, stainless steel sheets commonly come in thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm to 3.0mm. The most common widths are 1000mm, 1219mm, and 1500mm, while the most common lengths are 2000mm, 2438mm, and 3000mm. These dimensions are often referred to as 4x8 (4 feet by 8 feet), as they are the standard size for stainless steel sheets used in various construction and fabrication projects. It's worth noting that stainless steel sheets can also be custom-cut to specific dimensions based on the requirements of a particular project. This allows for greater flexibility and ensures that the sheets fit perfectly for the intended application.
Q: Are stainless steel sheets good for cryogenic storage?
Yes, stainless steel sheets are suitable for cryogenic storage due to their excellent resistance to low temperatures and high strength. They can withstand extreme cold without becoming brittle or losing structural integrity, making them a reliable choice for storing materials at cryogenic temperatures.
Q: Are stainless steel sheets suitable for automotive body panels?
Absolutely! Automotive body panels can definitely benefit from the use of stainless steel sheets. This material is widely favored in the automotive industry because of its remarkable ability to resist corrosion and its exceptional durability. It can withstand even the harshest weather conditions, making it perfect for body panels. Moreover, stainless steel sheets provide a sleek and polished look, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the vehicle. Furthermore, stainless steel offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio, resulting in better fuel efficiency and improved vehicle performance. In conclusion, stainless steel sheets are an incredibly reliable and long-lasting choice for automotive body panels.
Q: What are the standard sizes of stainless steel sheets?
The standard sizes of stainless steel sheets vary depending on the specific industry and application. However, there are some commonly used standard sizes that are widely available. In the architectural and construction industry, the standard sizes of stainless steel sheets typically range from 4 feet by 8 feet (1220mm x 2440mm) to 5 feet by 10 feet (1524mm x 3048mm). These sizes are commonly used for cladding, roofing, and interior design applications. In the manufacturing and industrial sectors, stainless steel sheets come in various sizes, including 4 feet by 8 feet, 4 feet by 10 feet (1220mm x 3050mm), and even larger sizes like 5 feet by 12 feet (1524mm x 3658mm). These larger sizes are often used for fabrication, industrial machinery, and equipment manufacturing. It's important to note that custom sizes can also be fabricated based on specific project requirements. These custom sizes may include narrower or wider widths, longer or shorter lengths, or even different thicknesses to meet the needs of a particular application. Ultimately, the standard sizes of stainless steel sheets are determined by industry standards, market demand, and the capabilities of the manufacturers. It's always advisable to consult with suppliers or manufacturers to ensure the availability of the desired size before making a purchase.
Q: Can stainless steel sheets be used for fire-rated applications?
Yes, stainless steel sheets can be used for fire-rated applications. Stainless steel is known for its high melting point and excellent heat resistance properties. It retains its strength and integrity even at high temperatures, making it a suitable material for fire-rated applications. Stainless steel sheets are often used in fire-rated doors, walls, and ceilings, providing a durable and reliable barrier against fire. Additionally, stainless steel's corrosion resistance properties make it a long-lasting option, ensuring its effectiveness in fire-rated applications over time.
Q: Can stainless steel sheets be bent or formed?
Yes, stainless steel sheets can be bent or formed. Stainless steel is a highly versatile material that can be easily manipulated into various shapes and forms. It has excellent ductility, which allows it to be bent, stretched, or formed without cracking or breaking. However, the degree to which stainless steel sheets can be bent or formed depends on the thickness and grade of the material. Thinner sheets are generally more malleable and easier to bend, while thicker sheets may require more force or specialized equipment for shaping. Additionally, certain stainless steel alloys may have specific limitations on their formability. Overall, stainless steel sheets can be bent or formed to meet specific design requirements, making them a popular choice for a wide range of applications in industries such as construction, automotive, and manufacturing.
Q: Can stainless steel sheets be used for furniture or fixtures?
Yes, stainless steel sheets can be used for furniture or fixtures. Stainless steel is a durable and corrosion-resistant material, making it suitable for various applications in furniture and fixtures. It is commonly used to create tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, sinks, and other decorative and functional elements in both residential and commercial settings. Its sleek and modern appearance also adds aesthetic value to any space.
