Q: which upright is best out of the department store brands? (Oreck, bissell, dyson, eureka, etc?) Recommendations should be for less than $500.: for the best suction you can get i would stay away from the uprights and get a Henry i have been a cleaner for 12yrs and have used all the different cleaners you can think of and the best one i have ever used is the Henry

Q: What's the difference between regular vacuum cleaners and water vacuum cleaners?: Question: What's the Difference Between a Vacuum and Carpet Steamer or Cleaner (If that's what you mean by water vacuums) Although some carpet steamers and cleaners do have a suction mechanism to remove the cleaning fluid and water from your carpet after cleaning the area, they should only be used for steaming or cleaning a carpet and never used as a vacuum cleaner. Answer: The term 'carpet cleaner' or shampooer used to relate to types of carpet cleaning appliances which did not have a water tank and cleaned using a cleaner in conjunction with brush action. The cleaning fluid actually stayed in the carpet to protect the fibers and was not removed, nor was any water applied. Q: Just in case the power goes out, I would like to still be able to see where I am vacuuming.Anyone know a vacuum that has an inbuilt light that you would recommend? I know KIRBY make one, but they are very expensive.I am hoping for one at say less than $150 if possible.: how are you going to vacuum when the power is out?

Q: Can a canister vacuum cleaner hepa filter be washed?: They are not supposed to be washable. The ones I have seen have charcoal in them. I suggest buying a new one.

Q: What do you think about dyson product?: never had one- never want one- dysons suck!!

I hated this ridiculously expensive vacuum so much that after 3 months, I went out and bought a Kenmore for less than $100. This vacuum works 100% better and the chord has a button and retracts into the machine. I love it and am getting rid of the Dyson. *** I wouldn't buy it.

Q: I read some where that vacuum cleaners with a rotating brush can scratch hardwood floor. Is this true?: there is a chance but vacume cleaner brusher are usally soft. i would opt for a swifty from johnson johnson.

Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?: Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.

Q: Can poor people own Dyson vacuum cleaners?: No. They buy Oreck XL's from Rent to Own and get set up on the weekly payment plan. Only 100 more payments of $9.99 and it's mine!
