- I have found that the best value mobile phones are the prepaid deals. You obviously get a prepaid card with it, which may be what you want. If it isn't, then you can use it up and then just use your previous sim card (if you had one), as you usually would. There are some good Nokia phones for $99. They can be found at Telstra Shops, Woolworths, Big W, Harvey Norman.just to name a few locations. Goodluck. I have been in the same situation and found this to the best option.

- Yes Target does sell T-Mobile service with contracts and without contract (Prepaid). However they don't have a lot of phone selection. Your best bet would be at a T-Mobile store. If you want to activate your own line with a contract at Target then you would have to show them a driver license. They will do a credit check before activation. If you mother is the primary person and holder on the T-Mobile account then it is unlikely Target will sell you the phone and have it activated. The primary person needs to be present when they activate the 2nd line to the account. On prepaid phones with T-Mobile at Target you don't need to show any identification and you can purchase the prepaid phones there as well.

Also, on a lighter but related note, most modern PDA/Smartphones (like the Nokia N95, etc.) have GPS capabilities. That means, if the unlikely chance of some virus gets installed in your PDA/Smartphone, then a hacker can easily track where you are as long as you have an eye-to-sky (direct contact with the sky) GPS connection. Added to everything, a cellphone can be dangerous if one does not know how to mask information. - T-Mobile phones are not compatable with Page Plus. Page Plus uses Verizon phones. Page Plus does not use sim card with their phones. You will need to buy a Verizon phone that works with Page Plus. Then you will have to call/contact Page Plus and have them Port your phone number with T-Mobile to Page Plus. You may want to contact Page Plus and see if they will port a phone number from T-Mobile, before you buy a phone.

Since they know that this merger will go through T Mobile just stop caring. Their goal is to sell as many phones as possible to lock you into a contract. T Mobile has spent millions in legal fees because their employees continue to give out their customer's ssn and pass code. I have the case number for this.
