- Q: I am currently a t-mible cell phone user, way over two years. My cell phone is kinda getting old, so I want to get a new phone, and also I want to change my plan as well, still with t-mobile though. How do I do that? Will they require me to sign a new 2 yrs contract like new users do? Will they charge me activation fee again with a new phone even I am already a t-mobile user? Thanks.

- Q: Mobile screenshots, OPPO, what is the shortcut?
- Mobile phone in the bright screen state, while holding down the power button and the volume down key 2-3 seconds to screenshots.
- Q: I had shortlisted the Sony Ericsson T700 and G502 as the choices for my first mobile phone. I am pretty convenient at using mobile phones (as all my relatives have one) so using them is not a problem. My first pref is the T700 but as it is costlier and mostly has the same features as the cheaper G502 (except camera mp, menu layout and more RSS functions), I am thinking of going for the G502. However, I have read that the G502's build quality is poor and it hangs and restarts and similar sort of things. Also some people say that the colour starts coming off after a few months. Is that a cause for worry?I know that firmware needs to be updated regularly so, if I maintain it well, are there chances of problems creeping up? I would also like to know from G502 users if they liked it or if they had some specific problems with it? In the end, should I wait for the T700's price to drop or should I go for the G502?Thanx for reading.
- I've had one for about a couple of months now and had no problems with it. I was just after a low cost phone that would allow me to check emails, get weather reports, connect to messenger, etc. The screen is a little small but I can read my mail using Google's excellent mobile mail app. I haven't tried to write an email with it yet. Build quality is good and I haven't had any problems with it hanging, although a couple of websites that I was viewing with the built in browser have caused it to restart. Can't comment on the paint coming off yet. I think the screen would be easily scratched so I try to avoid putting it in the same pocket as keys, coins, etc. and I'm looking for some sort of cover to protect it. Overall, it does the job for me and I've been pleased with it in the first couple of months I've had it. Best regards,

- Q: I REALLY want to buy a sidekick for a new cell phone. I have verizon because T-Mobile isn't in my area. Can you have a T-Mobile phone if you have Verizon????
- No, it will NOT work. Verizon's phones and network are CDMA, which doesn't use sim cards. T-Mobile's phones and network are GSM which require a sim card in order to work. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other. Even if you get an unlocked GSM phone, it will not work with a CDMA carrier.

- Q: I am trying to create a new Yahoo account for professional things like school, work, etc. but it will not let me register without entering a mobile phone number. I do not own a cell phone. Can I really not register without a cell phone? I mean, seriously?
- I'm getting the same problem, it's asking me for a cell #. I could had done a much better job than Marissa Mayer, Yahoo's new CEO, and at a much less cost to the investors. First of all, get rid of all the shitty ads on the front page of yahoo and make it clean and simple like Google (follow the leader), then focus on why people come to your website in the first place which is a SEARCH ENGINE.you need to make a more advanced search engine, and replace the broken pay-per-click system with something far more advanced that'll rock the world (I know what, but I'm not going to tell you unless you pay me 10 million).
- Q: Does T-Mobile have a phone similar to the HTC Evo? A few of my co-workers have Sprint and I love their Evo's but my boyfriend and I are going on a T-mobile plan together next month be because they are cheaper and I was wondering if they have a phone similar to Sprint's HTC Evo? I want a bigger screen and a droid. I currently have an LG Optimus and its ok.ALSO if you have a phone from Tmobile that fits my question, how do you like it?
- There are some features similar but it is very much different.
- Q: 950 million phones sold last year and the total worldwide mobile subscriber base grew from 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion. Phones are replaced every 18 months. How many people have more then one mobile phone? what do they do with old theyone?
- I would suspect there are a LOT of people who keep at least one old phone around just in case they break their new phone, especially if that old phone is some plain-jane phone that isn't worth much on the used market. If the phone is actually still worth anything on the 2nd hand market, they often get sold on OKorder, craigs list, local newspaper etc. Many, and I mean a LOT of phones never fully survive 2 years. You are also looking at this from a very skewed perspective, that of the 2 year contract or 18 month replacement cycle. In Europe, it is normal to purchase the phone and the service separately, no contract, no subsidy, no waiting 18 or 24 months before replacing a phone. You are free to buy a phone, or many (at retail, maybe $500-$900+ for a smart phone) sell at will, swap your SIM from one to another. It would not be strange to have a phone for work, one for the weekend, an old beater for dirty enviroments Also, if you are someone who just wants a plain old mobile for Emergency use or to make the occasional phone call, there is no reason you can't keep the phone for 3,4,5 years. There are just WAY to many variables between total sold and total subscribers to make any kind of real comparison. If the subscribers grew by 1 billion, but number of phones sold grew by 500 million, then you could conclude that the used phone business is doing very well, but short of that, you just can't make any comparisons from those numbers.
