Q:How does smartphone adjust time?
Step two: drop-down click language and time Step three: If the phone is online, you can click on the automatic settings, synchronized Internet time.
Q:do iphone app work on other mobile phones?if so what phones?and if not why not?
Kik messeging will send a sms message to another phone using kik. If you dont have kik text free is also a good option
Q:I am planning on getting a new phone from Virgin Mobile, and I have narrowed it down to the Rumor2 and the Rumor touch. Do you think it is worth paying the extra $40 to get the Rumor touch? If anyone has any reviews that would help also. Thanks!
virgin mobile is for virgins.
Q:What is the meaning of the dual mode of mobile phone?
The most direct way to verify is: with one of the cards to dial another, if it can pass, that is double pass.
Q:I have a T-Mobile phone and I was wondering if I could trade it in for free at the T-Mobile place
Depends on the phone you want versus the phones they offer for free at trade in. If you are upgrading after 2 years on your contract, then certain but usually low-end phones can be upgraded to for free. That stuff you hear about upgrading to, like a galaxy 4 at no extra cost because T-Mobile has the best upgrade plan, is basically them saying you can have this phone for so and so a month. In the end you are leasing a phone like that. Not getting it free.
Q:How do I remove my desktop icon?
Long press and hold the shortcut you want to delete the page, and then drag to delete the word here, the phone will prompt you to delete, press the can be deleted.
Q:I Have the paylo plan for virgin mobile, and im looking for a better phone other than the ones they have for that plan. could i get a phone from the unlimited plan and just put my battery and sim card into that and be able to have the paylo plan just on a better phone? Not looking to switch phone plans.
could i get a phone from the unlimited plan and just put my battery and sim card into that and be able to have the paylo plan just on a better phone? Yes, as long as the phone you want is not a smartphone, as smartphones are not eligible for the PayLo plans. Second, Virgin Mobile phones do not use SIM cards (at least not in the USA and Canada).
Q:How does a mobile come to know that which operator is meant for it. What exactly happens and how a mobile phone attach to the network. How it is different if the mobile is in roaming area?
A cell phone network is made up of the cell phones themselves, base stations, and the mobile switching center (MSC) hardware which does call routing, etc. The base stations (cell towers) are always broadcasting out control signals that contain a System ID (SID) and how it expects cell phones to identify themselves. When you power up a cell phone, it hears this and registers with the nearest base station and your cell phone sends its Mobile ID Number. This Mobile ID Number is more than just your cell phone number, it also contains its own system ID (SID) number, and it also contains the ESN, Electronic Serial Number that identifies that specific phone. If the base station's SID and cell phone's SID match, then the phone is on its home network. If not, then you are roaming and connect to another provider's network, usually for additional charges. Your phone usually can hear multiple cell towers but connects to the one that has the best signal (signal to noise ratio). After your phone is registered, your cell phone number plus ESN are forwarded to the MSC, which sends this to a home location register or HLR. If it turns out you're not on your home provider's network, it goes to a VLR, Visiting Location Register. This way the cellular network always knows where you are, that is, which cell you're in (what cell tower) so calls can be router to/from your cell phone.
Q:I had shortlisted the Sony Ericsson T700 and G502 as the choices for my first mobile phone. I am pretty convenient at using mobile phones (as all my relatives have one) so using them is not a problem. My first pref is the T700 but as it is costlier and mostly has the same features as the cheaper G502 (except camera mp, menu layout and more RSS functions), I am thinking of going for the G502. However, I have read that the G502's build quality is poor and it hangs and restarts and similar sort of things. Also some people say that the colour starts coming off after a few months. Is that a cause for worry?I know that firmware needs to be updated regularly so, if I maintain it well, are there chances of problems creeping up? I would also like to know from G502 users if they liked it or if they had some specific problems with it? In the end, should I wait for the T700's price to drop or should I go for the G502?Thanx for reading.
I've had one for about a couple of months now and had no problems with it. I was just after a low cost phone that would allow me to check emails, get weather reports, connect to messenger, etc. The screen is a little small but I can read my mail using Google's excellent mobile mail app. I haven't tried to write an email with it yet. Build quality is good and I haven't had any problems with it hanging, although a couple of websites that I was viewing with the built in browser have caused it to restart. Can't comment on the paint coming off yet. I think the screen would be easily scratched so I try to avoid putting it in the same pocket as keys, coins, etc. and I'm looking for some sort of cover to protect it. Overall, it does the job for me and I've been pleased with it in the first couple of months I've had it. Best regards,
