1. Structure of Monocrystalline Silicon Solar Modules 48Cell-225W Description
Solar panel refers either to a photovoltaics (PV) module, a solar hot water panel, or to a set of solar photovoltaics modules electrically
connected and mounted on a supporting structure. A PV module is a packaged, connected assembly of solar cells. Solar panels can be
used as a component of a larger photovoltaic system to generate and supply electricity in commercial and residential applications. Each
module is rated by its DC output power under standard test conditions, and typically ranges from 100 to 320 watts. The efficiency of a
module determines the area of a module given the same rated output – an 8% efficient 230 watt module will have twice the area of a 16%
efficient 230 watt module. There are a few solar panels available that are exceeding 19% efficiency. A single solar module can produce only
a limited amount of power; most installations contain multiple modules. A photovoltaic system typically includes a panel or an array of solar
modules, an inverter, and sometimes a battery and/or solar tracker and interconnection wiring.

- Q: If we invest billions in green energy and put up thousands of square miles of black panels that give off radiant heat couldn't that significantly cause more warming, not to mention the energy required to even make them?
- I highly doubt it because they don't trap heat like carbon gas does in the atmosphere. Fossil fuels are literally destroying this planet and could eventually be it's demise it we don't accelerate it's elimination. If we could make the clock turn back to the early 20th century and focused on harnessing the sun and wind instead of burning fossil fuel as a means of transport and energy, we wouldn't even be talking about global warming or air pollutants that contribute to global health every year. The only thing the black panels to is create a darker surface but not much different than natural colors like dark dirt, dark green grass etc.
- Q: We are considering getting solar panels for our home just south of Birmingham, AL. We know a little and are trying to educate ourselves the best we can. But we are having a hard time finding anyone around this area. We have done the yellow page thing, and some quot;green places around town. But to no luck.....
- Any electrical contractor could likely install them, and there are several Internet businesses that sell solar panels. You likely have no place there to get the kind of large panels you need for a house. Look at your local regulations. Your utility may not allow grid-tie, so you may have to set up an off-grid system with batteries and use separate wiring or a transfer switch. One thing a lot of people neglect is hail protection. In Birmingham, you're likely to have large hail (larger than golf ball size) every couple of years in the spring. You need to work out a way of covering them in advance of severe weather. Most panels will take up to golf-ball size hail with no problem. DK PS, I've done this myself, and have considerably more information. Email if you're interested.

- Q: Can solar panels be used to power a concert venue?
- Yes, solar panels can be used to power a concert venue. By installing a sufficient number of solar panels, a concert venue can generate enough renewable energy to meet its power needs. This helps reduce the reliance on traditional energy sources, lowers carbon emissions, and promotes sustainability in the music industry.
- Q: Which kit did you use?How easy was it to build? How much did it cost to build the panels? How many kw or watts does it produce?Any other info on the kit or panels you built would be helpful. Thanks!
- I am starting to think about solar panels as an option for my home. I have d fef one some research on panels, to be honest its all very confusing. There are many.???Read more...
- Q: I live in Los Angeles area, I see the ads that, they will install solar panel for $0. I would like to know what is the catch ?Thanks You.
- Read the terms and conditions! They will own the panel and receive payment for any power generated from it, as one example.
- Q: i would like to hook up a power outlet to a solar panelmy light system is 500watts will run for 8 hours/day between noon to 8PM.So what is the most effective system do I need?
- How critical is the power, and is it only lighting? If it's only lighting what the other person suggested about a SunTunnel is the best solution. Not only is it less than /0 the cost, it will be 00x as efficient. If you think about it, it's kind of silly to turn the sun's light into electricity, throwing away 80%+ of the energy in the process, then turn that back into light again, throwing away 95% of that energy in the process. Much better to just use the light directly. Or cut some ordinary skylights or windows. If you are intent on solar electricity, it would be better to install a grid-tied system, and offset the electricity from your building in general, rather than try to build a dedicated outlet for the lights. - Q: Can solar panels be used to power a drone?
- Yes, solar panels can be used to power a drone. By harnessing sunlight, the solar panels can convert the energy into electrical power that can be used to charge the drone's batteries or directly power its motors. This enables drones to have longer flight times and potentially operate in remote areas without the need for frequent battery replacements. However, the practicality and effectiveness of solar-powered drones may depend on factors such as the size and efficiency of the solar panels, weather conditions, and the power requirements of the drone.
- Q: Due to erratic power cuts in my area I want to make up by using a 30watt solar panel. My decoder is 30watt but my TV is 70W. I need something small. I don't have problem with sound. Just picture.
- Do what we do when power is cut (although we have very reliable power - we loose as much as 2 hours a year), is go Amish. That is go without powered technology. Now, for you, you need more than a solar panel (and likely more than 30W, but that is a start) - you need a battery or set of batteries to store the collected power. 20Ah might do. You need an inverter to power things. For that, likely a 300W will do. For a TV, go shopping, and look at the labels on the back of the TVs. I just bought a 24 TV rated at 40W. If you get a 9 LED TV, it may be likely you can run that directly from battery, for many have separate DC brick supplies. With those, you can make a cable to power it directly from a 2V or so battery, if the supply can make 2 to 5V. Depending on your provider, you may be able to get a mini-decoder which uses a separate brick or wall supply, which means the decoder likely can be directly battery powered. Such a decoder may draw less than 20W.
- Q: planning to get one, for a store/house, we use alot of electricity at least 500-3000 dollars a month. how much money would this save us? how big would we have to get the solar panel?[aproximately]
- Hi, One or two new windmills may not cost you as much I believe. Just my suggestion anyway.
