- Q: A solar panel facing the sun at noon in mid-summer receives more intensity of the light than when it is at horizontal. However, it can receives more total solar energy when it is at horizontal than when it is tilted during a long summer day. Regradless if it is shaded by building or trees. why is that so?
- That okorder /... it shows a graph and explains it better.
- Q: how efficient are flexible solar panels?
- I don't have a number, but in general, no one uses a flexible panel unless they are compelled to. The efficiency is lower, and my experience is that they don't last. I had one a few years ago, and it lasted less than 2 years. My rigid panels came with a 25-year performance warranty, and are still working great after 7 years.
- Q: How about using Solar Panals to provide the electrical power to separate the H2 from the O? H2 would be fed into the engines carburator like a gas/air mixture ratio, but H2/air mixture ratio instead. How would you control the exact measurements?
- It's an idea that will be done someday. But right now the problem is that there are much cheaper ways to get energy and run cars. So no one would use this one, because it just costs too much. As other sources of energy get costlier, and we figure out how to make solar panels better and more cheaply, this will be done. The best way known now to use the hydrogen in a car is to put it into a kind of electricity generator called a fuel cell. Then the electricity runs an electric motor. Controlling the measurements into the fuel cell is pretty easy just with a simple flow meter.
- Q: I really want a projector but i hear they use a lot of energy because of the lamp. I want a good one to watch movies and play games on. but i don't want one that is gonna kill the lighting bill.is there like a solar panel or something i could use for it. PLZ HELP.
- Do understand, that a solar panel is slow to pay for itself. Let's say your electric bill was $200 a month ($2400 a year). A solar system would cost perhaps $24,000 so you would actually have paid your first 0 years of electricity in advance when installing the panels. After that 0 years, you start to be ahead financially. It can still be a good idea, but it may not be the quick and cheap solution you were looking for.
- Q: Dont/Cant work alone?when you buya asolar panel you mUST GET bATTERIES, voltage regulators and many else stuff?cant they just work directly? or can i use normal batteres like Car batteries? The one who Really knows 0 pts. thanks

- Q: How do solar panels affect the roof warranty?
- Solar panels can affect the roof warranty in some cases. The installation of solar panels usually requires drilling holes into the roof, which may void certain parts of the warranty. However, many reputable solar companies offer their own warranty and insurance to cover any potential damages caused during installation. It's important to review the terms of both the roof warranty and the solar panel warranty before proceeding with the installation to ensure that you understand any potential impacts on the roof warranty.
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on oil or gas facilities?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on oil or gas facilities. This practice is known as solar integration and is becoming increasingly common as oil and gas companies aim to reduce their carbon footprint and adopt renewable energy sources. By installing solar panels, these facilities can generate clean electricity and offset some of their energy consumption, leading to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact.
- Q: Why is it nessicary, with today's economy in the postion it's currently in, to use renewable energy sources; like solar panels?

Anatomy of a Solar Cell 5. Energy Loss in a Solar Cell 6. Solar-powering a House 7. Solving Solar-power Issues 8. Solar-power Pros and Cons 9. Lots More Information 0. See all Physical Science articles You've probably seen calculators that have solar cells -- calculators that never need batteries, and in some cases don't even have an off button. As long as you have enough light, they seem to work forever. You may have seen larger solar panels -- on emergency road signs or call boxes, on buoys, even in parking lots to power lights. Although these larger panels aren't as common as solar powered calculators, they're out there, and not that hard to spot if you know where to look. There are solar cell arrays on satellites, where they are used to power the electrical systems. You have probably also been hearing about the solar revolution for the last 20 years -- the idea that one day we will all use free electricity from the sun. This is a seductive promise: On a bright, sunny day, the sun shines approximately ,000 watts of energy per square meter of the planet's surface, and if we could collect all of that energy we could easily power our homes and offices for free.
- Q: Okay, me and my friends are going to fix up an old trailer that's out in the woods, we want something to be able to run small electric appliances off of, but it's to far to run power to. How can we make a good but cheap homemade solar panel that we could plug things into? The trailer is in more of a field so it gets plenty of sunlight! Thanks for any help! :)
- Solar panel cannot be home made with household material. It was a high tech product. You need to buy them in market. To suppose electricity for a trailer home, solar system becomes very expensive . A t least few thousands dollar to buy solar panels, storage battery bank, DC to AC inverter, heavy gauge wiring and hardware.
- Q: My plans are building several solar panels and have a battery bank. I want to be able to power the refriderator and freezer and occationaly an electric grill. How would This work exactly and what would the best way to hook this up to make it work? I want to be able to convert DC to AC. How many batterys would I need to make this work. I know when Civil unrest happens I want to be prepared. How would Wind Power work If I can get the equipment I need?
- Solar panels and wind/water turbines all produce the energy and feed it into the batteries. Outfeed from the batteries thru an inverter to an electrical panel. From panel to outlets, into which you plug standard appliances and items. You can also get some appliances that run off of 2volt. Check with r.v. companies and suppliers for these. You can also run low voltage wires straight from batteries to switches to lights, fans, etc if you put in 2v ones. Just like your car has lights, fans (ac blower), and radio. As for how many batteries you need will depend upon how much ebergy you will use. You will need to figure how much all of your items use per hour. Then figure how long your charging device could be down for at a time. Solar panels will not charge at all for the 8-2 hours of nightfall depending on your area. Wind turbines will charge day and night so long as wind is of sufficient speed. Water turbines will charge 24/7 so long as water source(creek, stream, river) doesn't run dry. Neccessity/hr=N, time without charging =T. N times T = the amount of backup power you need to get you thru till charging sysytem kicks back in.
