- In the practical sense, the differences are trivial. I'd buy on price per watt, unless space is at a premium (it isn't for most installations).

- Just think about it and don't do it unless Ontario and the Utility companies give a huge rebate. Forget tax credits. Solar voltaic panels generate electricity...it will take more than 20 years to break even...assuming they last that long. Solar panels that generate hot water may be OK but will take about 0 years for a payback.

- You will need a charger controller, a 2 volt battery and a inverter to convert the 2volt dc to 20 volt ac. Your also going to need about 0 more solar panels of the same size!
- Q: I have a home made 24 volt electric cart. It is powered by two 2Volt deep cycle batteries. Since the motor runs on 24 volts the batteries are wired in series to produce the 24 volts. I only have a 2 volt battery charger, but I also have two 2 volt solar panels. It is a pain having to unhook wires, rewire it, or charge them one at the time.HERE IS THE QUESTION REALLY... Can I wire the two 2 volt solar panels together in series (ie: negative to positive) then connect it to the existing 24 volt system and have it charge the batteries fine. - You haven 't done your research. Solar panels reduce the value of a home. If you do own them outright, instead of renting them with a contract, be sure that the appraiser knew it or knows it now. It may not change the appraisal amount. If you are renting, the value will be worse. Nobody will buy a house and pay you for the contract you signed - for renting them.

- If you want to get money from the power company you will have to basically put in $0k to $20k worth of solar panels. Currently most solar panels that are available to home owners are not all that efficient. I currently have 3 that are 2 foot x 0 foot on my roof that follow the sun and they only power my water heater. Also some states will give you a tax rebate for installing solar power banks on your roof, mainly in the southwest.
