In your opinion?: a platform bed has wood slats or plywood as the base....a regular bed you can get with a foundation which is made of wood and will not give or wear out...a box spring will wear out and your mattress springs will start to give with the box spring...kind of like rolling into the middle..anyways a platform is also lower but i like mine with a foundation.....foundation--- platform---6 of one half dozen of the other nfused now box springs suck....
