Q: I have an old mattress, an antique but in good shape. I have a foam topper on the top. Lately, I have been sleeping in another bed in the house (which is a waterbed) but last night did not do to outside noise (I am a severe insomniac). I was sleeping VERY well in this other bed but last night I woke up all night after sleeping maybe 10 minutes at a time. I have always thought my bed was comfortable but am wondering now if my insomnia could be attributed to my bed? Are the memory foam (non Tempur Pedic brand) good? I have seen one for my size bed under 400.00. What could be my problem? I wake all night.: insomnia bed related

Q: I have a toy poodle and for some reason he always attacks his bed and chews holes in it making stuffing go everywhere and me buying him fifty beds.Is there a really durable dog bed that it still soft and cosy?: COMFORTABLE, CHEAP AND HYGIENIC DOG BEDS. My rigid plastic dog beds are forty five years old; they are still intact and hygienic. I have never bought posh dog beds because it is almost impossible to put them into the washing machine. I use plastic beds which are cheap and easy to clean. Nevertheless my dog beds are very comfortable and they look very posh, when they are dressed up to provide comfort for my dogs. I cut foam for the base; I then drape a duvet over this to hang over the sides. This conceals the fact that they are cheap plastic beds. I buy cheap pretty duvet covers to blend in with my colour scheme. I then put “Vet Beds” on top on the duvet. The contents of the bed can be put into my washing machine and I clean the plastic beds with vinegar every week. Obviously a new puppy would chew a duvet and the foam base; consequently for a puppy, I just use a “Vet Bed” in my basic and hygienic plastic bed. I will admit that although my old plastic beds are reasonably sound, there is evidence that all of my puppies have had a nibble at the edges.

Once she goes to sleep I move her to her bed, but 98% of the time when I wake up in the morning there she is, in the bed with us again. what can I do to get her to sleep in her bed?: Wow this sounds EXACTLY what I went through with my daughter. There is hope. She is 6 now and falls asleep in her own bed AND STAYS THERE! I have to admit I didnt really start working with her on it until last year, though. The first thing we did was make a star chart and she got a star for falling asleep in her own bed. She also got another star if she stayed in bed all night (if she came to our room I helped her back into bed). The deal was that she could have the toy she wanted when she hit 10 stars. I also made her a CD of disney lullabies and soft music and gave her simple remote so that if she woke up in the middle of the night she could turn her music back on. We put a nightlight near her bed so that she could turn it on without getting up. Its not a perfect system, but I think even a two-year old can be cohersed with a good reward system. Try laying down with her in her bed for the first few nights, then start getting out of her bed before she falls asleep. Maybe right after storytime or prayers, depending on your bedtime tradition.

Q: i have a loft bed and i find it impossible to make the bed. because it is a loft and not a bunk bed there is no bed under to stand on. any tips?: You have more room than if their was two beds! Also, I had a friend with one. She has her computer desk and computer under it. It was comfy! :D ADDITION: Ohhh, how to make your bed that high up, haha. Just keep a ladder for the bed, or if theres steps on the end. You can even make it while you're up there. Just tug the sides while on the floor, and you should be good. :D
