- I love the I phone. Sprint is supposed to get the I phone 5 in October. T Mobile is merging with att so it is not a good idea to sign a contract with them. There are many complaints with the T Mobile phones.I hope that this helps.

- T-Mobile Jump is something you add to your plan that costs an extra $10 a month. After 6 months you can jump by handing over your old phone and getting a new one. The remaining cost on your old phone is gone, you just have to start paying on the new phone. (jump means you don't need to pay off the old phone)

- yes no problem. if the contract is live you could easily transfer it (your sim) to another T-mobile phone or even better, any open line phone Most phones from the manufacturer are shipped open line meaning you could use it with almost any other sim card. Once the phone goes through a service provider however (such as T-mobile), they usually 'sim lock the phone. this is the service provider's way of protecting their investment on the phone unit. this means that should you decide to change sim cards, the old phone will only work if you get the sim card from the service provider that provided the phone in the first place. In your case, should you decide to use or give away your old phone, this will only work if the new sim card comes from T-mobile.

- If your phone is on standby and you're logged in, you will be alerted. If your phone is fully powered off, you will not (unless you tweak the settings around to allow the application to turn on your phone). You can customize a lot on the Windows Mobile phones just depends on how much time you have to learn the steps and procedures to make it work the way you want it to.

- I've worked with a weather radar (a very advanced one) and it has no concerns about a cell phone operating in a different frequency, with a different modulation and the radar is a Level C system, which means even if it fails, the aircraft's flight is not adversely affected. I work with an FMS now and yet again we have no worries about one cell phone transmitting. Cell phone frequencies are covered during the EMI/EMC testing of airborne equipment. There are good answers above me giving the valid reasons, if some doofus chose to give them TDs and you opt to disregard their wisdom, then cant help it.
