- Our tile is on plywood, which is screwed into the sub-floor.. and I know that comes in different heights. I dont think you need cement board for the floor ...just for around the bathtub and/or shower area.
- Q: I live on the second floor and I want replace the carpet with wood or tile. A friend told me if the floor is not leveled, it cost a lot to level it. My question is: Could second floor be unleveled? I thought only first floors could be unleveled.
- Second story floors can be and often are out of level. Even more important than levelness, though, is flatness. It is o.k. if your floor slopes a little. If it has dips and humps in it though, these will have to be adressed before new flooring is installed. If you install tile, a cement leveling compound can be used. If wood, the unevenness will need to be fixed structurally. 3/16 difference in a 6' span is the most unevenness allowable. If you have more detailed questions feel free to email.

- Q: I have an android phone, downloaded the game 100 Floors. Played the first 3 floors just fine but the 4th floor is giving me a lot of problems. - Floor 4 requires you to use two fingers and use the motion opposite of pinching to open the doors. Android may not have this function and the 100 floors developers didn't think about that. If you can't seem to get it to work, I would e-mail the company who made the game and ask them to fix it. While you wait, play 100 exits or dooors. - Q: So i want to make a mini dance studio/ gym in my garage. I am already getting floor mats for the gym equipment but flooring for my mini dance studio is too expensive. I was thinking, could I possibly use the same floor mats (which is regular shock absorbtion interlocking mats) but put some sort of vinyl tile flooring over the mats so I can turn and everything? Could this work? Has anyone tried this already?
- This sounds like a good idea. You can by lamenated wood floor tiles that interlock just like the rubber ones. Thery're not too expensive. The only problem with laying the tile flooring is that if the tiles aren't all even you will have a hard time turning on the creases. If you do a good job laying the floors it should be fine.
