Q: I recently got a Motorola RAZR V3i. I got Mobile Phone Tools off the internet as well. When I hook my phone up to my computer via usb cable, MPT opens and there is a phone on my screen. But it doesn't recognize my phone. And no matter what format, the ringtones and pictures are in the wrong one. Can anyone help me?: The cell-phone only works, when recognizing by the MPT. There can be more than one defect. Check the cable (possibly newinstallation). Check the battery of the phone ( must be full). Check the MPT installation. Check Ur steps to conect the phone.

Mobile devices are short on RAM and processor power, not to mention they constantly have to perform the job of a phone. So, the devices are not used to do programing, as programing itself is a tedious job for a processor (running IDE, debuggers, compilers, linkers etc.). So, for the time being, I think you would have to be content on using mobile phones as phones and not for programing. Though you can Microsoft Visual Studio for mobile device programing. Have fun

Q: I REALLY want to buy a sidekick for a new cell phone. I have verizon because T-Mobile isn't in my area. Can you have a T-Mobile phone if you have Verizon????: The only way you can do this is if the phone has a place for a sim card it usually goes under the battery and is a little plastic card with a computer chip on it, some us cell phone companies have sim cards avalible for purchase, it will give you a number and service from that carrier to your phone when you put there sim card in your phone, so check if there is a spot for a sim card and see if verizon has sim cards avalible

Phones aren't like PCs where anyone who's reasonably tech savvy can install a different operating system; it takes a team of programmers months to put a different operating system onto a new phone. Also, phones have different hardware than PCs, so even if you *could* just install a different operating system onto a phone, an operating system made for a PC (like Windows 7) wouldn't work on a phone (and vice-versa).

Q: can you use a sprint phone with virgin mobile, sprint necessarily is virgin mobile. i: Sprint and Virgin mobile are both CDMA. neither one uses SIM cards unless its an international phone. The are basicly the same company with a diffrent name. virgin mobile is the pre paid sprint just like boost is the pre paid nextel. 4 names 1 company. any virgin mobile rep you speak to that tells you it can't be done is lying.
