- Q: I just bought a new bed and a mattress set. The mattress is a Sealey pillow top really nice. I love the bed and it is not a high bed but when they set it up the box springs made the bed come up to my waist. I feel like the princess and the pea this bed is way to high. I mean I have to climb to get on this thing. I called the store and they told me they can give me a low volume bed spring and it would lower it about 4 inches really is that really enough to bother with cause I am going to have to pay somebody to swap it. What can I do?

Lately, I have been sleeping in another bed in the house (which is a waterbed) but last night did not do to outside noise (I am a severe insomniac). - I slept on foam for years...my bed was in a loft so stayed warm and toasty. I moved to another house and had my bed on the floor, was way cold so I bought a new bed, box spring and frame to get me off the floor...I was amazed at how much more comfortable I was and how much better I slept. I don't know about the memory foam you asked about...when I bought my bed I went to every store in town that offers bed sets, spent hours laying on different beds in the stores, found a knowledgeable salesman to ask questions and have been very very happy with my bed for the last 7 years.

- I have had a Tempurpedic bed for 4 years. I would never go back to an inner spring mattress. Yes they breathe. If you sweat, you will be sweaty. The bed doesn't make you sweaty.

It is well made, and sturdy, but i was really only planning on spending maybe 300 total, including mattresses. Now with this bed, plus bunky board, and mattress i will be at over 500. Is it a good investment? Did you notice them being sturdier than just a headboard/footboard? Thumbs up or down? Thanks!
- My son has a captains bed. It definitely has pros and cons. It is difficult to make. I find it hard to get the sheets on it and my 10 year old son really has trouble with it. The bed has to say against the wall and things fall back behind the bed and are difficult to retrieve. It is pretty big, and since it has to be against the wall, you really are kind of stuck with where you want to put the bed. It is nice to have all the drawers under the bed, even though my son tends to leave the drawers open and that drives me nuts. Overall, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't get the captains bed. For me the negatives outweigh the positives.
