- I think bed bugs are dust mites...although, in olden days there were pretty big bugs that did get into peoples homes and only a bat would protect you! Your mattress protector is mostly to help protect against wetness. You can vacuum your bed if you have a detachable hose, that really works best!

- It is usually the frame moving that causes noise. Tightening the joints can help. I had a wooden bed that I had to add blocks at the joints to prevent movement.

- Since you want to make a floor, it is better to put the floor high and place the mattress on the floor, so you can save the cost of the bed frame. Although the floor is expensive, it is still more expensive than the bed. And it's fun, too, for children's rooms

- Roll around in bed a bit, really really fast, then jump and run, if u get cold u should have an automatic coffee maker. I used to roll around to warm myself up, and put a sweater at the foot of my bed. Then after rolling and the sweater, I'd haul it to the automatic coffee maker :)
