- Q: what type of bed is best for cat?
- My cat has an open wicker basket which she used to sleep in when she was younger but generally she just sleeps anywhere now! We bought her an igloo which she prefers to the more open bed because she feels safer but she's quite a shy cat. It depends what your cat is like! However, you buy them all these beds and they end up sleeping in a cardboard box or at the end of your bed or on the floor etc! If you were to get one I'd probably suggest an igloo-style one (with a roof) because they feel safer but then again it depends whether your cat is the shy or confident type. Probably stick with what you (and your cat) knows best though. =) Hope this helps!
- Q: I am looking into a bunk bed that converts into two twin beds. I have a 18month old and a 4 year old. The 18month old climbs out of bother her crib and pack n- play. I would def put her on the bottom with a bed rail on the bed. But does it still seem to young? Space is a huge problem for us right now. I like the metal silver beds vs the wooden seem like they would hold more weight? Any suggestions FIRST TIME BUNK BED EXPERIENCE.
- We bought bunk beds for our kids at about the same age as your children, we also had space issues. 18 mths is good time to move to a big bed with a side rail. I would suggest getting a set with a removable ladder. Our son loved to climb and we had to take the ladder down or he was always on the top bunk. Our daughter had no problem climbing up the end of the bed to get up to the top.

- Q: For those of you who don't know this is a corner bed :
- Mine's in a corner but it's pretty much a conventional bed. I don't have headboards on two sides. The big plus is you don't give up walking around space around the entire bed. If you never get out of bed on one side, why waste that acreage? Who has it to spare? I share with my wife and even so, sleeping against the wall isn't a problem for me. I just get up off the end of the bed, always have. It's never been an issue, and being able to tuck the bed into a corner in an 9x11 bedroom really helps keep the rest of the space functional.

- Q: okay first of all, what are these things? their called slatted bed bases, what are they for? whats their purpose? and i don't understand are they supposed to bend the mattress or something?
- I have an IKEA bed frame and used to have a mattress...the mattress from IKEA was terrible, i ended up with this huge dig in the middle and gave it to the Salvation Army, any mattress will fit, but you cannot use a box spring. As far as the slats, my bed frame ( a queen) has a metal brace down the middle and a metal rim that runs all the way around. I use one roll of slats on each side of the brace and throw the mattress on top. The slats basically hold the mattress. have you been to an IKEA store? You can touch, play, and jump on the beds there and you'll see. But DO NOT buy an IKEA mattress....worst purchase I;ve ever made...but i love everything else from IKEA!
