Q: I know most UC schools have multiple beds, but is there one that have beds stacked on top of each other?
Are you talking about the dorms? This question makes no sense. The dorms at UCSF don't have beds stacked. The dorm is not the school.
Q: I want to buy some bedding from an american internet site but the sizing is confusing me. i want to buy a quilt set for a single bed for my son but I can only find twin size. Is twin the same as the uk single or is it bigger? They also mention a sham, what is one of these? Thanx in advance.
If you need to use the mattress to the crib, then you may as well move to a twin bed. The benefit of the toddler bed is that it is close to the floor and you can use the crib mattress, saving you money. If you are going to purchase a twin bed you may want to consider buying a top bunk bed. I did this for my son when he was two years old. It is closer to the floor and has a board underneath it so you do not need a box spring, just the mattress. The other great thing about his is that is was made of two by fours and was very sturdy. He is now 16 and moved up to a double bed last year, so we got our moneys worth out of the bed. If you really need to save money, purchase a toddler bed and use the same mattress from the crib and later buy and new crib mattresses for the new baby.
Q: Our current bed is the traditional style bed and it hurts me to sleep in it for more than 6 hours. How do you find a good bed when you only lay on a bed for 2-3 minutes at the store? Anybody have anything to say about the newer developments in beds?
Roll around in a few, you'll know which one feels good.
Q: I'm getting new bedding for my room and want pink bedding with white polka dots but i cant find any. I found some at PBteen but it was just a duvet cover and i want an actual bed spread/comforter thing, :) thanks.

Q: I'm looking to buy a bed and it so confusing there are things like Box spring, quilt, bed sheets, skirts..Is box spring absolutely necessary under the mattress. Can someone give me how you set up your bed
A box spring will support the mattress on the bed frame. Think of it as a big sandwich comforter or quilt flat sheet fitted sheet mattress bed skirt box spring bed frame
Q: What does "1.2m" (4 feet) mean?
1.2m (4 feet =1.2192 meters) is a standard size for a single bed, usually 1.2*2.0m of the inner diameter and about 2130*1330*1180mm of the outer diameter.
Q: I know a bed for baby is called crib in America. Do you call it baby bed, too?
I have a 21 month old daughter, and we've never referred to the crib as a baby bed, although, essentially that IS what it is. But when referring to the crib, we have referred to it as the babies bed. or when she is sleeping, we say she is in bed, or she is her bed sometimes, rather then she is in her crib. Then there is a stage where you put them in a miniature bed before actually into a twin size bed. That bed is referred to as a toddler bed. I wouldn't say baby bed is incorrect English. Of course, correct English would really depend on how you used it in the whole sentence. It's just not a phrase that is used. Hope that helps :)
Q: I want to get this one and I would get probably some lighter purple bedding or something to go with it.I can't remember if the bed is supposed to be high off the ground or low as possible.
As a qualified feng shui consultant, there are three concerns about the bed. 1) It doesn't have a bed head. From a feng shui perspective, a bed should have a solid bed head as this represents support and protection. 2) The storage compartments under the bed do not allow enough space for air to circulate under the bed. It is important that the flow of qi/energy/fresh air can circulate under your bed. It also prevents the build up of dust. 3) Having 'stuff' under the bed, no matter how tidy it is, represents clutter. Having clutter under your bed will make you feel more fatigued, and as every part of your home represents a part of your life, you may feel like one part of your life is stagnating or feels 'stuck' if you put stuff under your bed. Best wishes!
Q: Are you not supposed to wear thongs in bed while sleeping?
There's no rule against it. Personally, I think thongs are okay until you try to get comfortable, and then you realize how uncomfortable they are. But it doesn't really matter. It won't do anything to your body, if that's what you want to know.
Q: I think my guinea pig is eating her bedding, I use pine bedding, the kiln-dried. Could this be harmful for her??
My guinea pigs do it all the time - They chew it well and it wont hurt their insides or anything - I also use the pine bedding and i've had mine for a long time now - I take them to the vet often and they're always very healthy- When i asked my vet he said it was normal- They eat everything. Everyone says that pine bedding is very toxic- but it's actually not - The shavings are fine- the WOOD CHIPS are harmful. But i don't know. I've always used pine - and none of my animals have had any problems.
