It depends on what you can afford I heard they cost a lot. also If you have any back trouble will they be firm enough to support your back and neck. the number bed is also suppose to be a good mattress but cost a lot too. - That is very interesting..to be honest I have never heard of that before. Are you an otherwise emotional person? If so, maybe you are just being very reflective and what better time to do that before you slip into a realm of possibilty (aka sleep/dreams)? If that is the case, maybe you are misinterpreting this reflection as depression. Personally, I am not a really emotional person but I always use bedtime for reflection and prayer, and, like you, my eyes water (especially in the morning) but that I think is just a natural reaction to waking up in the morning.
