- I've just bought a new bed and yes, it is low and now I'm sitting in bed only a few feet off the ground. I'm guessing they're trendy, kind of Japanese influence, but they look great in situ as they aren't the focus of attention in your bedroom. - Yes i know what you mean on the hard wood floors even the wheels in lock position still move. try putting a flat like ballet shoe with rubber on the end you knmow rubber flats like chinese sandles or anything non skid resistant should do the trick you can pick up a small piece at the hardware store. that way your bed won't be in the middle of the floor later winks
