Q: I must be an idiot. I bought GBC's SelfSeal Laminating Sheets (9x12) and need to laminate both sides of a 8.5x11 piece of paper. The instructions say to lay the paper face down on the non adhesive side and then peel away the liner and seal. What am I supposed to seal it with? Another laminating sheet? When I pull the liner away the adhesive side is facing away from the page and sticks to everything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Q: What are the different thickness options for plastic sheets?
The thickness options for plastic sheets can vary greatly depending on the type of plastic and its intended use. Common thicknesses range from 0.5mm to 25mm, with some specialty plastics available in even thicker options.
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for costume making?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for costume making. They are often used to create various costume elements such as armor, masks, and other structural components. Plastic sheets provide versatility, durability, and can be easily shaped and manipulated to achieve the desired costume design.
Q: it touched a plastic bag right when it came out of the oven and now it's stuck on and hard as a rock. how do i get it off?
You can do it allot of ways the simplest Soak it in hot sudsy water for 10-15 minutes then scrub it should come off easily Put it back in the oven (plastic side up) and let it heat up enough to melt then whip it off with newspaper or paper towels (be careful not to burn yourself) Or pop it in the freezer over night which should make it brital and just hit it really hard (smack it on the floor, hit it with a hammer) and it should brake off but this way is messy
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to warping or bending with heavy loads?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to warping or bending with heavy loads. However, the extent of their resistance may vary depending on the specific type and thickness of the plastic sheet being used.
Q: Are plastic sheets transparent to radio waves?
No, plastic sheets are not transparent to radio waves.
Q: Hi all,I would like to know how to calculate the maximum volume of a bag made from 1 folded plastic sheet of which the outer edges are welded together. Say the bag is 1 m x 2 m. If I inflate that bag, the volume will increase until it reaches a maximum. Does somebody know how to calculate the maximum volume? Thanks
I don't know, and this is an approximation. Suppose the center cross-section of the bag (1 meter from each end) inflates to where it is perfectly circular. The diameter of the circle will be (2 m)/pi = 0.6366 m. Near the ends of the bag, the cross-sections parallel to this center cross-section might be very narrow ellipses; and exactly at the ends of the bag, the X-section is 0. Let's suppose the semi-minor axis of each ellipse decreases linearly from 0.3183 m to 0 unifomly as you move along the long axis of the bag. Note that you will not get 1 full meter away from the central X-section, because the section looking sideways at the 2-m seam is a rhombus of perimeter 4m, and its minor diagonal is 0.6366 m. Then the full length of the inflated bag would be 2 sqrt(1^2-0.3183^2) = 1.896 m. So I'm going to assume every cross-section parallel to the circular cross-section is an ellipse, whose semi-minor axis varies linearly from 0.3183m down to zero, and whose semi-major axis varies linearly from 0.3183m up to 0.5m. In particular, taking x=0 to be the coordinate of the circular X-section, I have b = 0.3183 - (0.3183/0.948) x, and a = 0.3183 + (0.1817/0.948) x. The area of each ellipse is pi*a*b, and the volume of the bag is 2 times the integral from x=0 to x=0.948 of pi ab dx = 2*int from x=0 to x=0.948 of pi [0.3183 - (0.3183/0.948)x] [0.3183 + (0.1817/0.948)x ] dx = 2 * int from x=0 to x=0.948 of pi [0.1013 - (0.3183/0.948)(0.1366 x) - 0.06435x^2 ] dx = 2 * int x=0 to x=0.948 of pi [0.1013 - 0.04586 x - 0.06435 x^2] dx After integration you have 2*pi [0.1013x - 0.02293 x^2 - 0.02145 x^3] to be evaluated at x=0 and x=0.948 meters = 2 pi [0.096 - 0.0206 - 0.0183] cubic meters = (6.28)(0.057) = 0.36 cubic meters Another figure for comparison is a prolate ellipsoid whose minor semi-axes are both 0.3183 and whose major semi-axis is something like 0.9; its volume would be pi*a*b*c = 0.29 m^3. So, my first answer probably isn't completely crazy...
Q: Gardening tips
Depending on how tall the plant is... Low lying plants can take the plastic with bricks or rocks holding it down around the plants. If they are taller plants like foot-tall tomato plants (shame on you for planting this early, lol), then the absolute best thing I have found to use is upside down turned plant pots placed over top of the plants (screw into the soil about 1/8th or 1/2 inch deep so that no air gets in around the base. I have also used empty milk jugs with the lids and most of the top cut off. Just set over top of plants and push into soil a little bit. If your plants are too tall already and you don't have any empty containers big enough to comfortably hold the plant inside, most veggie and flower plants can stand a little stress (by cramming them (just LIL bit) into the pot). The right kind of Stress actually makes most plants stronger and more resilient to future stresses and/or diseases. Hope this helps.
Q: How can I remove the glass glue from the plastic?
Hand cream. First, the surface of the printed products tear off, and then put some hand cream on top, slowly rub with your thumb, rub for a while, you can rub the residual gum are rubbed down. Just slow down. Hand cream is a kind of grease, which is not compatible with gum. Remove glue is to use this characteristic.
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to discoloration from food stains?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to discoloration from food stains.
