Q: I've had my scaffold piercing for nearly a year now, and on the bottom hole i have a sore red lump on the outside (back of) my ear not in the fold but the back? if you get me?? But its SO sore and its quite red, and i was wondering whether i should pop it? do whatever to it? I've had it for a while now and it does flare up red and painful but then it stops hurting, but it getting on my nerves now and i dunno what to do with it??Thanks :)xx: Sea salt soaks are your best friend. Try them, twice a day on your lump, it usually goes away after a week with this. If it doesn't, then I would go to the piercer and ask them about it, tell them to have a look, maybe they know something more. But try the soaks first.

Q: Okay I have some questions:-When I get it done can I have- 2 labret retainers put in to hide them from my school?-If I can, how discreet are the retainers?-How long to heal? (Even though the piercer will tell me)-Have you got a picture of a scaffolding piercing with retainers? May I see it (:-And a basic clear cleaning regime?Thankyous (: x: You could but it be best for a bar to be honest. Well retainers are clear and depending on your skin complexion it may be difficult or easy to detect. Industrials hurt I'm not going to lie. It look forever for mine to finally heal enough to wear i can lay on it. Your ear will throb and it will hurt like hell to touch it. The pain goes on for a couple of months. Sorry I have no pictures. For cleaning- Sea salt and warm water.

Q: I have my tragus pierced and I have a cartilage piercing. I was wondering if the pain is comparable to these. Is it worse? Less? And do most places pierce with the clamps or do they just put it through?: i have my tragus and cartilage also. and my industrial (or scaffold) pierced. i can tell you that my industrial was my most painful piercing, and i have nine. they dont use clamps or guns or anything because it can shatter your cartilage. they just stick the needle through, and then put the jewlery through the hollow needle, and pull the needle back out. simple process. a little painful. likeee, a 7 or 8 on a scale of 1-10. hope i helped. good luck! :)

Q: Why do so many buildings in Manhattan have scaffolding on the street level?: Probably because many building are old and have to be repaired and they don't want stuff falling on people. Regulations require it when they are working on buildings.

Q: I Got my scaffolding piercied 3 weeks ago i think or 2 , and school starts soon and im doing gcse pe :| loool i need to know how i can hide it ? and if i can just put tape over the balls will they care about the bar in the middle? please help me haha would it be easier to just wear clear balls ? because then im not actually taking the piercing out so it wont get infected or anything?: Have you got long hair? Tie your hair in a loose ponytail at the bottom of your neck, without putting any hair behind your ears. This is what my friend did for work, it worked for her. The reason you can't wear jewellery in school is 'health and safety', so just having clear balls won't make a difference. Can you get a clear TFT bar as well as balls? that would probably help hide it. Best of luck!

Q: im in the midwest: when we took osha classes , we were told there was no such thing as an osha approved plank...but i see the osha stamp on some so i dont know what to think...rough cut 2 in. hemlock will hold anything you can safely put on a scaffold...

Q: I've been wanting an industrial piercing for quite a while now, and thankfully I convinced my parents to let me get it done about two weeks ago. We were on vacation in Florida last week and my mom said I could get it done there if I wanted, so we went into a tattoo shop and asked about it. They told me something I'd never heard before, that they would pierce the holes with hoops and in about a month I could put the barbell in. The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain?They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!: Stretching shouldn't hurt if you're giving it enough time... so this really isn't a good comparison! A single cartilage piercing doesn't hurt much more than your standard earlobe (lobe being 2, cartilage piercing being 3 on a scale of 1 to 10). But I've never had a scaffold or orbital of any kind, so I don't have much first hand experience. Honestly though I wouldn't worry about it. It will be over in 30 seconds, 1 minute tops. And you get to come away with a pretty new piercing! Yay!
